Course in bad shape
It's the first time I've played it in years. It was very hot, I scheduled the tee time that morning and was able to get myself and a friend on. I was looking forward to play a round with him on a course that we've both been wanting to play. They let a twosome go off and then paired me and my friend with a father/son twosome, which I thought was weird considering a single twosome just went off.
The course was in very poor shape. Dry everywhere and you couldn't tell where fairway ended and rough began. Greens and tee boxes were awful, and the bunkers were more dirt than sand. I say this because the putting green was immaculate and even had a grounds crew member watering it at the time I was warming up, which is usually a good reference of course condition. It definitely was not worth the price we payed to play. I'm hesitant about playing the course again.
Outstanding Course
The greens are bumpy but for the money it is still a great deal at a great cost.
Grea fairways
Good layout for all skill levels. Pace of play was a little slow due to foursomes ahead talking to one another.
greens
greens were fast with a lot of undulation making putting very difficult but fair
Great greens. Unimaginative layout.
The greens lived up to their hype. They were in great condition for a high traffic public course. However the fairways were shaggy, making the lines between fairway and rough a little blurry. The course was fairly straight forward, with very few twists or turns. But for the $15 I paid to play 18 with a cart I was satisfied.
Decent layout in terrible shape.
Nice people from the pro shop to grounds staff. That said, the greens were decent, some even very good. The tee boxes were okay. The fairways which would have resembled a goat pasture with out anything else had been power seeded and were terrible. They have cut back some of the worst rough, helps pace of play, but those fairways are awful. I would not play here again anytime soon.
nice course challenging and fun well maintained not crowded
fun fast not too busy windy fast greens challenging and mostly not too slow fast fast and fun hope to try agin soon
pace of play was ok, greens were in good shape, rough and bunkers could use some work

NOT WORT THE MONEY
I think their mowers must be broke. There was no distinguishing the fairways from the rough, the grass was 1/2" to 3/4" tall through out. You could not see your ball when you hit it were the fairway should have been. The greens were so so and some of the tee boxes had more crab grass than grass. They encourage you to keep the pace of play but its hard to when you have to search for your ball in what was supposed to be the fairways. I would not waste the trip or the money.
Good Value
Weissinger is in good shape and the cost is reasonable. It has several challenging holes and a few easy ones. Greens have stayed in great shape this summer and the staff has kept the rough in decent condition. I enjoy playing here in order to work the kinks out of several aspects of my golf game.
Treated rude by staff
My beef with this course is that I was treated extremely rudely by the general manager. I showed up at 5 pm as a single after work. Was told there was a league playing at 6 so I could play the back 9 and then play the first 9. I played the back 9 and then started to play the front 9 on the first tee. No one in front or back of me. Was then yelled at by a player in a foursome on the second green. Then the general manager comes out (without first telling me who he is) and tells me I can''t play the front 9. I told him that the employee in the pro shop told me I could play the front 9 after I played the back. He refused to apologize for the misunderstanding and was rude and discourteous. I have never been treated this rudely at any golf course in my life (I am 53). I will not return.
A little disappointed
I've wanted to play this course for some time. I found a great price of $12 on GolfNow. It's a good thing I paid $12 and not the weekend rate of $35 or I would have been highly ticked off! It looked like nobody had touched the course for nearly a week. The grass was high in the tee boxes, the fairways, the greens were terrible. We were losing balls in the rough that had barely rolled from the fairway to the rough. Inexcusable for this type of course in my opinion.
From the time I walked in the staff were friendly and helpful.
The greens were perfect. Fairways were tall but that was the type of grass not lack of maintenance. Staff knew my tee time once I gave them my name without looking it up. This made me feel at home. I'll play here again in the near future.
The course has a lot of character.
The course was wet from the previous week's rain so carts were on the path. We still played in just over 4 1/2 hours. Fairway grass and rough was long due to rain but once they are cut the course will be in pristine shape.
Challlenging course without being too difficult
Course is almost always in great shape and well maintained
nice course
the course was in great shape compared to what I had heard about it in the last year. We were pleasantly surprised!
Nice mini course great staff
Greens really nice fairways in good condition. Some bunkers could use work.
Great experience
Fun course to play.
Great course and always a friendly staff. Play here several times a year. Bes hot dogs at any course I've ever play at.
Easy, open course. Slow play for a weekday.
Great course for beginners. Well maintained course, feels like playing in the middle of a beautiful horse park. Loved the unique clubhouse.
