Great Challenging course!
Fairways and tee boxes were in perfect shape, greens did have some bad spots and were a little fuzzy but overall would love to get out there again! Several blind tee shots make this course challenging the first time playing and several challenging long par 3's from the back tees.
looked rough but played great
the greens on the course looked rough but putted quick everything was mowed good fairway and rough there are several long par 4 which is tough for an old guy like me but i still enjoyed the course
Enjoyable Day
The weather was really good which made for a nice round, Tee boxes and fairways were very nice. Spots on the greens and areas around the greens looked like they had some sort of disease with no grass. Greens were slow and bumpy.. A little pricey for the condition of the greens and fringe.
Love this course
I've played this course several times this summer and have fallen in love with it. The front nine especially. The changes in elevation are challenging and the course is very well maintained. The tee shot on 4 of the first 9 holes is blind but the course is well marked with where your target should be. The back nine is far less challenging. They are building a new clubhouse and I'm looking forward to that being complete.
Impressed
Nice course. Doesn’t punish you for an errant shot. Good conditions and goo pace of play. Beautiful scenery
Pastoral setting, historical surroundings
Lincoln Homestead is a challenging layout with rolling hills, small greens, and beautiful countryside. The course also intersects with history with log cabins connected to the Lincoln family. In the summer the course has plush Bermuda fairways and is well-maintained. The toughest part of the course are the par 3’s that demand length and accuracy. It is a real value and enjoyable golf experience!
Course is in great shape
Bermuda fairways are in great shape... there are some areas under repair on a couple holes, but overall really good fairways... rough is a challenge... bent grass greens were in good shape with good speed... enjoy playing this course.
Don't Forget -- It's 'Walk-Only' Right Now
Course is in terrific shape, greens pristine and true. A few spots without grass in front of a couple of greens, but otherwise the maintenance team deserves kudos. Bobby in the shop is really nice.
Don't forget tho, due to Covid, all State courses are currently 'walk-only', and Lincoln is a pretty good hike.
Otherwise, worth the drive to enjoy a round in the verdant rolling Kentucky hills.
Excellent shape
Course is in excellent shape from tee to green and price is very reasonable. Hope to play it again soon.
Hidden gem!
I have found a hidden gem in the form of Lincoln Homestead. Fairways are good greens were a little firm but rolled great. A great value owned by the Commonwealth!
