Excellent course ..recommend playing
Challenging course in excellent condition. One of the best in Cincinnati.
exceptionally nice
I have golfed this course over the years, it is in the nicest condition I have ever seen, everything was perfect.
I will definitely play this course again
I didn't know what to expect, but the course was given a 4.5 star rating so I booked it. You get to see the true difficulty of the course by playing from the tips in my opinion. Blind shots, narrow fairways, forced carries over water and a 101 yard long 18th green. I definitely recommend that more people give this course a try.
Great course !
Course was in near perfect condition. Greens were great and fairways.
Great Course
Played on a Tuesday afternoon and it was a nice, calm atmosphere. The course is in great shape and the pace of play was fast. One of the best courses in town.
Solo Round
Lassing Point was in the best shape of any course played this year. The fairways had few bare spots and the rough was not so thick and tall that you couldn't hit out of it. The greens were also in very good condition.
Fairways and Greens
The course is in amazing condition. They are keeping it watered and cutting the fairways short and the greens are running true. The greens receive the ball well and I didn't see any burned out areas. There are a few ball marks (come on people) but overall very good for a public course.
Monday Afternoon Play and Practice
Teed off at 1pm and moved right along. Fairways, roughs and greens very well groomed and in excellent condition with a few exceptions. Traps could use some additional sand, or rototilled for fluffyness. This seems to be a common complaint I have about most courses. Greens were true and pin placements fair. I took lady friend new golfer and on back nine we were able to hit shots and practice also, had course to ourselves. Observed tees are not exactly level which is a big fault that should be fixed. Heavy play has caused bare spots which could be fixed by seeding and rotation. Pro shop well stocked and prices reasonable. Beer cold. TV very disappointing was connected to a HD converter box only. Pricing of $20 for round excellent on golf now. Both Boone County courses good but I think Boone Links is the better all around.
Lassing Pointe
Hadn't played in a few years, got a good rate. Got off slightly early paired with a single young guy who was quite a player. Course was in fine condition, pace of play excellent, weather was great, a fine day indeed.
Great People
Great people, adjusted our tee time to fit our schedule.
Course overall was exceptional with the exception being the tee's.....lack of grass you can undestand but most all are uphill or downhill.....righ to left and left to right. You should be able to tee from a flat lie, 5's all around if the tees wewr fixed
Lassing Pointe
The course was in really good shape considering how early it is in the season. We felt the greens were exceptional.
The staff was great also.
Poor Pace Of Play
Very disappointed with Lassing yesterday. We had a 1:27pm tee time yesterday. It was apparent after paying yesterday (1:05pm). The starter had told us we were up on the tee box. I felt rushed from the beginning of the round. After waiting on the first tee box for the group ahead of us to hit their second shot, the group behind us showed up. From then onto the 16th whole we waited 5-10 minutes on every tee box. Unfortunately that led to the group behind us waiting in the middle of the every fairway, causing us to rush and then wait on the next tee box. It had taken us 4 hours and 45 minutes to play 16 holes. We skipped the last two holes due to frustration. Obviously they had overbooked the course. I will not be returning to Lassing Point after paying $200 to be frustrated.
Great course for $21!
This is one of my favorite courses in NKY but the regular fees are a bit much in my opinion.
good value
good weekday value, very good pace of play. fairways and greens were well maintained, but they were doing some repair in the rough on a few holes.
Challenging and entertaining course
Bring all of your clubs because you will need them. This course requires all shots from wedges to long irons Greens also come in all varieties from wide and shallow to long and skinny, finishing with a 101 yard wide test that brings new meaning to long putts.Greens were fast and true and my playing partner said the rough was deep and thick.
Poorly maintained
I was very surprised to see how poorly this course was maintained. It was next to impossible to find your bal unless it is directly on the green or fairway. The grass is way to tall.
Too much hype
Booking through Golfnow.com was simple and cost effective. I am an eight (8) handicap. Lassing Pointe golf course was extremely busy and greens showing signs of overplay. The course has an over-abundance of hazards especially those where you can lose golf balls. Also, many are unfair such as hitting center of fairway only to lose ball in tall un-kept scrub because fairway slants toward it. I can't recommend this course. There are plenty of golf courses that are not as busy, lower cost, and more enjoyable.
i love the layout of the course. It is a fun, yet challenging course to play.
On the front nine, there was no one in front of us. I must add that myself & playing partner are very fast. When we made the turn, there was a twosome that appeared on #10. They were very slow & took an exceptionally long amount of time to play #10. I feel for the price, the course should have rangers present to assist w/ faster play & make things more enjoyable. After checking in w/ the starter on #1, we never saw any ranger, etc after that. I will return but not as soon as planned.
Great conditions, well laid out course
This is my 3rd time playing Lassing, so I am beginning to get to know it, and I like it more each time. First off, for the price, the tee's, fairways and greens are really in good condition. The holes can be difficult, but if you hit your shots well, their definitely are birdie chances. Don't hit them well, and their are hazards to make you pay.
The scenery is beautiful and the staff friendly. Will definitely be back.
Needs work
Greens are slow and many bare spots around the course. I have played this course since it opening off and on and was disapointed in its current condition. On the positive side it is still a nice layout and the pace of play was great for a public course.
