Outstanding
What a great course. Each hole provides a different challenge and requires you to think your way through the round. One of the best courses in the Portland area.
Nice course
Fun course to play, somewhat challenging. Course was in good shape.
Great course
The course was in great shape, Not really a long course, but has some challenging short par 4’s. Love the elevated tees and elevated greens. The clubhouse is very nice also. I would tell anyone “it’s worth a round to come see this place.” Great view of Mt. Hood in the distance. It’s is also affordable to the recreational golfer. I enjoyed my round there.
Over Hill; Over Dale
This is one funky golf course. The white tees play to a slope of 121 and less than 5600 yards -- you figure it out. Lots of odd doglegs, massively elevated greens and weird twists and turns. Many of the par 4's are quite short but with the hills and turns, none are really accessible in a reasonable way.
I would NEVER play this course again, and would recommend that anybody who decides to take it on should absolutely budget for a cart -- many of which are LP gas powered. We were fortunate to get an electric one.
Pro shop staff was very friendly, and the views of the NW hills are magnificent but this isn't my idea of a reasonable golf experience.
Nice out of the way course!
This course is in really good condition...greens are medium speed. The fairways firm but still green..some I have played lately were dried out and brown. This course is fairly short from the white tees but it has a lot of challenge due to the tight fairways and doglegs.
I have been playing this course for around twenty years and they seem to make improvements every year. I would recommend this course!
Lots of par 3& par 5 with elevation/direction changes and was slow for Wednesday at 2
If your looking for course that has holes stright in front of you. This is not your course. The course isn’t very long but at about 200 yards it usually turns in some direction and up or down. 3 par 5 and 3 par 3 then the par 4s are shorter dog legs. The pace was slow as 2 groups in front is were really slow. The greens and course were really nice!
Great course...extremely slow play
Played first nine with no problems then ran into a logjam on the back. A marshall would have certainly sped up the play. It was brutally slow. 10 minute wait at least on every hole.
You Don't Pay Me
You charge me to use your website, understood?
You don't also get free reviews out of me anymore.
So no, this is not a real review, and I don't care if you delete it. Your business practices are scummy. I have several 'Rewards' that your site just happens to make it so I can never use... and they expire.
Worthless. Thanks anyways, but no.
Challenge your skills
This course is not the proverbial walk in the park. I am your average weekend player and it was a challenge for me. In a good way. Lots of elevation changes, lots of water and a few blind spots. I look forward to taking it on again. I strongly recommend using a cart and bringing extra balls.
Fantastic!
Fantastic course in amazing shape! Great value, will definitely be back!
Great Course
The course is challenging and a beautiful place to play. I’d recommend a cart.....lots of hills.
Staff
Course is in great shape.
I made a tee time for the 4/22 for a 2 some on golfnow. My friend canceled so I called to let them know and the person on the phone told me I no longer have a tee time because I am a single and I would have to wait until they had an opening. I was already grouped with another 2 some. I cancelled my tee time all together. I did not want to wait to see if they could fit me in. I already had a tee time set. Not customer service oriented.
Winter conditions
The course is very playable despite all the rain. A few soggy places, mostly off the fairway. The greens are surprisingly great. Good spoed and they run true. Had my best putting round in a year.
Hole in one on 6th hole
110 yard par3 sixth hole shot a hole in ONE!
This is proof that even a blind squire can find a nut.
Undulating course is a great challenge for all levels
This course has always impressed me. The layout is a lot of fun and a challenge, but anyone can score well on a good day.
Recent complete remodel of restaurant overlooking the first hole is beautiful.
I play this course about twice per year given the longer drive to get there. The grounds are very well maintained and it’s my favorite place to play when I get a chance.
If I could book as a single online I would make the effort much more often. With limited free time I sneak out when I can and I’d like to know I can jump on as a single at a prescribed time.
Recently improved
Course is much improved from 2 years ago, with better drainage and trimming of trees along the fairways, despite recent rains balls did not sink in, greens are smooth and rolled true, overall it was very enjoyable.
Great Course
Thus is a beautiful course with a lot of ups and downs. Challenging and fun. It is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. I recommend this place to anyone who golfs in the portland area
