Nice Course and conditions-horrible customer accomodations
Played at 4:00 on a Friday in late May so thought no problem getting in 18 holes. While paying we were told had to have carts in by 7:30 so that was out the window. Then the front nine took over 2 1/2 hours so we ended up only playing 13 holes waiting to tee off on the entire front nine. Then while playing early on the front nine, we found out the cart girl ends at 5 and they close the restaurant and bar at 6:00. So when we got in about 7:40, no chance to get something to eat or drink and couldn't even use any bathrooms as the entire clubhouse was locked. Very disappointing considering the course itself had a challenging layout and in very good condition. Would not go back there again.

Surprisingly Challenging
When you arrive at the course it is along the waters edge of a large mature development. I thought it would be just a "nice" course. But it was more than that. The course is not long but there are strategic placements of dog legs, bunkers, trees, and water that force you to position your approach shots from the correct side of the hole. For example on the 18th hole I was just right of center about 150 yards out. In front of me was small hill that blocked most of your view of the fairway. to the green. Fortunately I walked to the top of the hill to see it was hiding a water hazard that covered most of the front of the green. Also All the greens are elevated so you can not just chip your ball when you come up short. And the greens also feature false fronts and some turtle back designs that will make you pay if you go flag hunting. Finally putting on the greens requires concentration. There are no simple flat greens. There are tiers, ridges, bends and curves that affect nearly every putt. Ocean Pines is a surprising gem of Ocean City. I cant wait to play it again

A beautiful track
The Ocean Pines course is nestled-into a community of beautifully kept, modest homes in an established area. Many of the homes are on canals.
The course is in great shape. Fairways are lined with large, established trees and are well-kept, There are some narrow holes and a few water holes, but the course is very playable too. Greens are consistent and true. Pace of play was great on the front, but we got a little bunched-up on the back (I believe some groups were started on the back that day).
Facilities were very nice, and the staff was excellent. Planning to return to this beautiful course.

DBH Golf
Great course with good greens, fairways and traps. The rough was rougher than most and they are working on that just having ben aerated. Food was great in the grill and everything was affordable. Easy access to golf range with good balls.
Staff in pro shop was very good as well....excellennt customer service.

Happy I Finally Tried This Course…
Course was fun to play, and the conditions were very respectable! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The bar/clubhouse had delicious food and relatively inexpensive drinks ($8 crush). I’d recommend this course to anyone looking for a great round of golf that won’t break the bank.

Nice Track
Some greens showed signs of aeration. Dealing with punch holes frustrating. Fairway were in very good condition.
Level tee boxes. Layout was interesting no two holes the same.. Liked that each hole had a name. Wind made it a little more challenging. Next time I am in the area defininitely a replay..

the the greens were slow with sand and holes all over them

Please know that what you experienced is not typical, and our Robert Trent Jones-designed course should be back to optimal playing conditions again soon. May have been a nice course at one time ...
This course was not worth the expense and I would not return. All fairways had been heavily aerated and muddy plugs were everywhere. I have played other courses after aeration and they were not this extreme. In addition, the bunkers were terrible and very poorly maintained -- or not maintained at all. Minimal sand mixed with gravel in many cases. Because the greens are almost all protected by bunkers, the poor condition of the bunkers really detracted from the ability to bit a sand shot and get onto the green. Staff were friendly. For the $$, this course was not worth it. No one mentioned the very rough conditions while we were paying.

Better than previous years
Course is much improved over previous years. Conditions were OK for Spring. Although they let a couple of 5somes out, they were members and moved quickly.
