A Nice Change of Pace
This course is about 45 minutes away and I play it once every 4 or 5 months as I like the layout. Not a fancy place in terms of amenities but they do serve beer so thumbs up on that score. There was a beverage cart but that ended around 4pm - a little early for a summer afternoon. The fairways were in good condition. As good as I have seen them. The greens were in pretty good condition for a municipal course where some players can't be bothered to fix their ball marks. Greens were slick. Fairly fast but more break than I remember from previous rounds. Too many 3-putts for me but I appreciated the challenge. On a few holes long hitters might think they should have played from the tips. But there are a few holes with forced carries that some average, weekend golfers will find difficult but not impossible. This is a very worthy course to play. Give it a try.
Fairway Hills golf
We had a great time, pace of play was good for being one of the first warm days of the year. The only complaint was the fairways were in rough shape.
Fairway Hills
Beautiful course not long but challenging. The greens are fast and tricky. As the name suggest try to keep it in the Fairway or bring a lot of balls.
Nostalgia Round
From 1996-2008 this course was home. Don’t let the yardage on the scorecard fool you. A low handicapper would have their hands full from the black tees.
Not a course that caters to bombing a driver. It requires precision play. I found the greens to be in really good shape considering the time of year
For $50, it’s worth it.
Low frills amenities.
Home of The First Tee of Howard County MD.
Great course (from forward tees) for beginners.
Fairway Columbia gem
I have played this curse for over 30 years and its always challenging . Pays to know where to position your shots. Not a long course but value for money. A course ranger would be a bonus.
This course is well kept.
Very nice course. Would love to play it when it is not so windy. I utilized a cart and would prefer the carts to allow you to drive closer to the tee boxes as well as enabling a bit more space before they shut down.
