Great staff, course was very poor
Staff was amazing, everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The course was horrible, fairway was nothing but dead grass. The amount of times we had to tee off with a wood or hybrid because of the layout was ridiculous. Wouldn’t play here again but had a great time due to the staff!
Classic story but tight course
Fun to play, good variation of holes, generally tight and short, and the conditions could be better, but decent value for the money.
Great value and enjoyable course
This is one of my favorite courses in the area. The price is very reasonable, the course was in good condition, especially considering the recent rain. The staff here is very friendly and I like the GPS carts. There are some challenging shots and holes on this course but it is not too difficult. Fairway Hills is a grey value and an enjoyable course.
Great day
The weather was great for a day in late November and the course was in good shape . The pace of play was excellent and we finished in just over four hours, including taking a break at the turn. The starter was a great guy!
Indian Summer Play
Temp was perfect at 65 degrees with maybe a 2 to 5 mph interment breeze on this mid-November day. Course is now is winter mode, Fairways are semi-soft and the grass is in its final growing stage before winter. Tee Boxes were okay, never really an issue if the area is flat as you are hitting off a tee. The Fairways, Traps and greens all met or exceeded my expectations. ( no areas with diseased grasses noticed) Not too many divots on the greens. Some greens were fast others slow, it all depends on how the sun hits them. The maintenance crew does a great job managing the falling leaves each day. Something other courses tend to neglect , especially in the fairways where you hit a semi-straight tee shot only to lose it in the ground cover of leaves.. Overall a good course for those that are not long-ball hitters as a lot of the par 4's are shorter than normal . The 11th and 16th hole still have my number. Maybe its time to throttle down on the driver on these holes, as I tend to fade to the right too much just on these two holes. Recommend playing here.
Nice course but could be better!
Layout is nice, and a very short course. While one might think it's good for beginners based upon the yardage, there are quite a few hazards in play.
Further, my annoyance is with pace of play, which is horrendous. 3 Groups on a Par 3 is Unacceptable! Need to have Marshalls out to encourage groups to pick up the pace or move to pen holes. 18 holes on a 6000 yard course should not take %.5 hours.
Good value for the money but could have used a marshal
Conditions were ideal for mid-October. Greens were in very good shape but fast. Pin placement was pretty tough, on slopes, etc., particularly for a weekend. The pace of play was good through 14 but we ran up against 3 groups who had cut the course and jumped ahead of us at 15, something that shouldn’t happen. But in the end, it was a nice round at a good price.
Poor conditions and price
This course used to be reasonably priced, but the rates have gone up and the conditions have only gotten worse. Don’t waste your time and money.
Very slow no marshals. 3 holes not legit golf holes
Extremely slow pace. Too many people on the course. No marshals. 2 holes have nets and no space to hit tee shot. Awful design except Par 3 17th is great holes. No amenities.
