Not for me
There are better courses for the price. Greens were slow and bumpy
Poor customer service
I played this morning at 1136 and the group knew rain was going to roll in but not until the round was over. 4 holes in we were at 1.5 hours and the rain had started to fall way earlier then expected… there was two groups collecting balls, filling pockets full every shot. Rather then play the 5.5 hour round in the freezing cold with it raining now we decided to hit the shop and asked for a rain check due to the conditions, pace of play, lack of ranger to keep pace. The 20 something young “manager” turned us away very snide and said to go back out in the rain and play the back half instead, claiming I’m not supposed to give out rain checks. Never have I felt the management of a golf course was more poor. I will not be going back to this place and it actually made me want to write a review.

Just the golf...
Nothing fancy, the course was in good condition for October. The greens were fantastic and so fast. The course set up will challenge all levels of golfer. Definitely a shot makers course and you better know your clubs yardages.
Ike review
The course was in good shape. It’s a challenging layout, the greens were running fast and the rough was penile, as it should be.
3.5 stars for a course with potential
There is so much to like about The Preserve at Eisenhower golf course. I've read and heard that the course underwent major renovations over the last couple of years, and the quality of golf course itself really shows. However, it still has a ways to go to get to a very achievable 5 stars.
I arrived at the course for my noon tee time on a Saturday (note: the turn into the course pops up pretty suddenly) and found a pretty odd hilly parking lot that wasn't quite clear about where to go. I made my way over to the "club house", which is essentially a large temporary structure, to check in. The staff was very friendly, but the lack of a water fountain and single-user bathrooms for a pretty busy course is just not great. Until this spot has an actual clubhouse (and I didn't see indications that one is being built), it would be hard to bring groups here.
I bought some golf balls for the driving range ($4, which is cheap, but you really need to buy 2 as it is for about 25 balls) and started warming up. The range is fine (mats, but with the tee inserts) and the single putting green is large and moves a lot like the actual greens (aka pretty fast with lots of angles). The starter was extremely friendly and got me started off on the right foot with my group.
In terms of the course, the pros are the course itself. There are some interesting holes, and the lack of bunkers, while a little weird, provides a different experience. However, the lack of a cart person or water on the course is really disappointing. Again, I would love to bring a group here, but the lack of amenities make this a spot for just playing golf rather than a golfing experience. And for the prices (I played for $60, but that was a discounted rate), there are other courses in the area that just offer more.
Overall, The Preserve at Eisenhower is worth checking out for true golf enthusiasts as the course itself is solid. However, I will probably hold off on coming back for some years until the amenities are (hopefully eventually) further developed.
The Preserve at Eisenhower golf course
Very nice course but challenging. The challenge comes with knowing where to hit your Tee shot. Some fairways slope right to left and others left to right. The first time playing, you will not know until after you’ve made your Tee shot.
It was an enjoyable day of golf.
Horrible staff interaction and course policies
Tee time set for 4:25. Normally, when you're a single golfer they put you in a foursome. Ok, fine. I knew this coming in. But didn't knw they MAKE u ride in a cart with a complete stranger, instead of your own cart at near 5:00pm and nobody is hardly on the course! You normally ride in your own cart of available. And the carts where available! But the starter said that's their rules. Ok! They he proceeds to tell us that we have to be off the course by 6:30pm. No exceptions!!! Well my tee time is at 4:24pm and there's people playing in front of me and u want me to be done a COMPLETE round in 2 hrs??? I asked him if we could get a refund and just play 9 instead!! He said no!!! That's not how we do it here!!!! To say the least, we played 9 and was LITERALLY run off the course by an official!!!! I will neverrrrrr play this course again!!! It cost me $45 to play 9 holes!!! Sad!!!
Enjoyed the course. Wish they had a locker room. No dining area to enjoy your lunch. Awesome job keeping the leaves off the course during fall season.
poor conditions for an uptight course
from start there was a 20yr old explaining to me about tradition because i had no collar shirt but appropriatly dressed. greens were cut down to the bare min, no one fixes divots. very poor yardage markers, no direction flags or maps to see the layout and first time you should have one. overall overpriced and NOT A COUNTRY CLUB but they think it is. wouldn't go back, too many better options and i have to dress for success it'll be at better course that deserves it

I’m sorry your experience wasn’t what you’re used to, but there are a few things to consider when playing at this time of year. Most courses, including ours, don’t mow as frequently now as we do in season. Basically, the grass isn’t growing at the same rate as it does in warmer weather. It will completely shut down growing very soon. In our case we might mow twice weekly at this time of year. Mostly to clean the greens up. It’s a good idea at this time of the year to follow a preceding days weather conditions before deciding to play. Any rain or freezing conditions will have a negative impact on putting conditions.
