Black Rock Golf Course
About
Black Rock Golf Course may be one of western Maryland's newest courses but it's located near some of the country's most historic sites. Antietam Battlefield and Harper's Ferry are just a few minutes away from this scenic course. The opening holes of the layout are tucked into the Shenandoah Valley while the back nine climbs uphill, offering views that stretch across the Appalachian Mountains. The golf course has plenty of holes that will please long hitters, but mature trees and thick rough frame most of the holes, demanding accuracy. Traps protect the front of most of the greens and you'll come across dramatic undulations on some. The par-4 13th is arguably Black Rock's toughest hole. This sharp dogleg right has a massive tree to the right as well as a pond right in front of the green.

Great for this time of year
Awesome time on a cold and windy day. It really was a great time.
Bad greens
The greens are pathetic for winter golf. Traps are unplayable. Go somewhere else until spring.
Nice course
Great for the money- $23 on Friday afternoon. Nice mix of water and bunkers. Tee boxes in solid shape, greens rolled true. Overall very solid course
Bring food and drinks.
Great value, but with clubhouse under renovation there was nothing to eat or drink. Need a temporary food truck.
KS Duffer in MD
Been here before, never disappoints. Well taken care of course, fair rates. Pretty busy for a fall Monday, but the weather was perfect likely source to much golf flu this day.
Great course, good access from Hiward County
Fairways & greens in great condition. Greens rolled very true, better than most ini Maryland after very hot summer punctuated w very heavy rains. Fun to play, very scenic. Sand Traps show significant rain damage - the only negative for the course. Excellent value. Clubhouse restaurant closed. Staff helpful & friendly.
Disappointed no snack bar and it was a hot day and no water on course..or even machine to buy water on course.....course itself was great shape.
Great Value
Course was in great shape, just challenging enough yet pretty open so I didn't lose too many balls. We'd return for sure
