Awesome course
This review is more of a staff review than a course condition review although everything I’ve played here the conditions have been great. My buddy and I had a GolfNow hot deal today and we’re excited to play the course but unfortunately we had to end up leaving early because of the snow. John, the general manager, was working the front desk and was awesome. I find course staff typically treat you a little different when they discover you have a hot deal but John actually gave us the option to come out a little earlier than our scheduled time so we could try to play before the snow started to pile up. In addition he gave me a credit for the cart heater that I rented since we were only able to get three holes in before calling it quits. John was a great help and his positive attitude was greatly appreciated, this is a perfect example of why courses offer hot deals, we’ll be coming back next weekend because of hospitality.
Fun and challenging
The course is a fun and challenging layout, and was in great shape for December golf with the one exception being that the greens were still showing signs of recent aeration.
A cerebral course.
Every hole has its own character. To have a good score you have to plan your strategies carefully.
One big negative!!! When you top-dress the greens, it is only fair that that information be posted. Golf Now should take that responsibility due to the pre-payment. I would have gone somewhere else if I had known.
Beautiful, challenging and fair
Played an early winter round and, outside of the greens still closing up due to aeration, the course was in great shape. It’s a wonderful layout within the foot hills of the Cactotin Mountains, both the course and the surrounding area are lovely to see. PB Dye’s design gives every hole a unique twist!
Greens In Terrible Shape
I know its December, but I’ve been to other courses and the greens in the area are in much better shape. Its a Complete 180 as for as condition. PB Greens are take 2 and Go. Hard brittle and punched . Fees Should be even Lower . $20.00 or Less for these Conditions.
Nice open course, sanded greens
Not a bad deal for $22,but the greens are heavily sanded. So don’t expect to make too many putts. Overall the rest of the course is good.
if only it was some other time
played the course on Sunday. while cannot fault them for weather, have to comment that greens were aerated and in not any great shape.. people not fixing ball marks made it all the more challenging to play with weather the greens and all..
leaving that aside it is a great course... setting is beautiful. the lay out is challenging and requires some serious course management.. there is visrtually no straight flat fairway...
winds made it all the more challenging and true test of all your abilities no matter which tee you played from...
In my view not for recreational golfers and high handicappers unless the temperament is of testing yourself and go in to learn.. had people flinging their clubs in frustration and disappointment...
bottomline beautiful challenging course that would be a treat to play in good weather conditions
Front to back
Greens were punched and sanded on the front nine. Smooth and perfect on the back nine. Two different courses.
Great course
Great course, well-kept, great staff and wonderful experience.
Rude staff
There is an IMBECILE who works there by the name John Lesage such a jerk , he didn't realize that customers pay for his salary, as a regular there nice course but not worth to play there anymore VERY RUDE he owes us an apology, used to play there but never ever again. As long as that jerk is still there , PB Dye will loose a lot of customers. Little Bennett 2 miles away nice course and excellent staff.
Must play
Excellent conduction. Some blind tee shots and rough can be penal. Great layout.
Great course with great friendly staff! Awesome condition and layout!
Great course
Loved the Course greens very fast but true. Not easy but fun. Would highly suggest this Course
Typical Dye Course
The son clearly learned from his father. Nice layout & great track. False fronts, undulating greens, rr tied and sand traps everywhere. Course was in great shape. Nice sand to hit from (large sample size on my round).
Wedding closed the bar & grill but it looked nice.
Great course
But not for high handicappers. Too many long carries over trouble.
Course in excellent shape, fantastic staff
Course was in great shape, the staff really made you feel welcomed .... the best part is that it is priced fairly. I'm from the ashburn area and I make the trip to PB Dye and a few others. I think the courses are in better shape and much lower prices.... for the same conditioned course around me you would be paying 100 + in prime time. Oh, you will use every club in the bag at this course. It's fun. The only issue was we waited on nearly every hole. Took 445 mid day Sunday. The course is challenging so I am sure that played a part
Wow, that's really surprising, Jon is by far one of the top PGA professionals in the Middle Atlantic section. I play there as well, and if you can't see the changes in two years you need to get your vision checked and perhaps stay at little bennett.
