No homes around, quiet, idyllic environment, and course in excellent condition!
Course in excellent shape, very pretty with plush fairways and greens, friendly staff.
Challenging
PB Dye is a great daily fee course. There are a few blind T-Shots, but overall it is friendly enough to let it fly off the Tee and the approach shots to the green are challenging. You'll need creativity to hit the and hold the green.
Greens are true and fast when the conditions are right.
Good track, and busy
Many people do not like this course as much as others in the vicinity. However, I like it as much as Whiskey. MD Nat'l and Worthington and Musket are better
Course was very busy, as always. We had a 10:12 tee time but didn't get out until ~10:50. Not good.
Course condition was still good at this time of year. Despite the traffic this course seems to get.
I like the layout quite a bit. Greens are fun, but can be very difficult.
Stevie Wonder's Dream Course
I detest blind shots. By the 3rd hole I'd had my fill. This course is a great waste of beautiful terrain. I kept asking myself 'Why?' Why make every tee shot blind and hide the beauty of the terrain from almost every tee? I had no good answer. And each green has at least two dead buried elephants beneath without any cup having a flat lie - this is putt-putt course stuff. I know this review sounds harsh but I'm telling it the way I saw it. And I've played hundreds of rounds of golf all over this country and in the UK, if that makes any difference. One more thing, many sections of the course were closed to cart traffic which resulted in several time-consuming hikes.
Waited on FIVESOME of millenial punks for 4 holes
I decided to play here to see if it was much more challenging than the area public courses. It is a nice course that demands accurate approach shots. Unfortunately, I was stuck behind a FIVESOME of millenial punks who were lame golfers that routinely 4 putted, yet approached their 4th putts as if they were competing for a green jacket. After the five of them finally putted out, they strutted off the greens as if they had severe arthritis, or owned the course. I thought that a private course would equal NO OBNOXIOUS GOLFERS. I was wrong. Just the same, will return to see if the losers in front of me were just an anomaly.
HI, We appreciate your honest review. We apologize for the slow players that were in front of you on this particular day. We wish you would of called the golf shop so that we could split up this group, as fivesomes are never allowed on the course. We apologize for your round and we hope to see you again in the near future.
Great Course
Played on a brisk Sunday morning, but even with a couple foursomes in front of us we finished under 4.5 hours. Really enjoyed the layout even with the challenge of the tiered greens. Not the longest course (most of the par 5s are reachable in two shots) but a challenge with some tight fairways and fairway bunkers.
Hi "u514327298" Thank you for the excellent review. We are so glad you enjoyed the course layout today. PB Dye is a short but fun course and we are so pleased you enjoyed your round. Please come back and see us again soon.
Hi "brotherpete" Thanks for the excellent review! We hope to see you again soon.
Great shape again
PB Dye had deteriorated over the past few years. It was obvious that the course was not being properly cared for. Happily, the course is back and in tremendous shape. Congratulations to the ownership and staff for restoring PB Dye to its prominence.
Hi "uQHKS6445QH" Thanks for the great review. We are so glad that the course is finally coming around, we appreciate the compliments and hope to see you again soon.
Great Course, Great Day, Great Round
Been wanting to play PD Dye for a while now. Took a chance with 2 friends at the first time playing the course. While the rating and slope may not look challenging (white tees), blind tee shots and hidden troubles will keep you focused on the game. Don't let the beautiful scenery or the great views of the clubhouse and water feature, as you approach the greens on 9 and 18, distract you. People were great. Sun came out and temps approached 70. Perfect.
Play PB Dye
Challenging, particularly for higher handicaps, but still a lot of fun playing.

The staff was great and took the time to explain the lay-out. Since it is early in the season it was hard to decide how to rate the course but the fairways were OK, however the greens still had not grown back in from aerating them in the fall or the might have did it this spring earlier. They were very bumpy and sandy yet which did not allow for a great putting day. I will play this course later on in the year to get a true feeling.
Awesome course
This is a beautifully laid out course. Even this time of the year the greens were beautiful. It was a very nice golf course to play. This is the best hot deal course that I've played in the tri-state area. The staff was super friendly and treated us like we were family.
PB Dye 27Feb17
Great layout. The course is in good condition even though it is still February. One of the most demanding courses in the area
Fun Course!
The first time I played PB Dye I was not impressed, but that must have been my mood at the time because I thoroughly enjoyed my round yesterday. I rated the course conditions as average but to be fair it is February. The course has a lot of carries and blind shots that cause consternation for first timers and a lot of bunkers designed to catch balls that are mis-hit. I expect the more that I play there, the more that I will be playing a chess game with the course. Check out the Players Club offer. If I lived closer I'd be all over that.
Very Beautiful Course
Green is not good condition in this season. I hope It will be getting better in coming spring . Except this , Evreything is perfect. Enjoy!!!
Great Course Even in the Winter
I really love playing PB Dye. The course is very well laid out, with a challenge on almost every hole. The greens can be tricky to read, and you have to focus more on speed than line on your putts. Winter greens are often a bit bumpy as these greens were on February 25, but you expect that for winter golf. The fairways are generously wide but very sloping; you have to think which side of the fairway to hit into to make sure you get a good roll towards the green. One word of caution: It is very easy to hit into the group ahead of you because most fairways have a hill that your drive can carry. It's wise to drive ahead to make sure the fairway is clear before hitting your drive.
Be prepared to wait
In their effort to fill as many slots as possible and in the least amount of time, we waited on every tee shot and often in the fairway. A 5 1/2 hour round takes the shine off it. Plus, the greens were clearly not ready for the onslaught of golfers. I hope the damage that may have been done is not permanent.
Hi "u000004673556" We appreciate your honest review and am sorry that you did not like the course layout. PB Dye is a very unique layout and we are sorry it was not up to your expectations.
