couse was in good shape. i enjoyed playing it.
it was a fun, but very hot day. we got paired with 2 fun players.
Short but challenging
Shot my lowest round ever here. I hear it gets a ton of play but the course and the greens were in overall great shape!
Nicely layer out. Will play again. The only problem is bugs .
Very good condition. Needed bug spray. I want to play again. So put more start times on golf now. I'm a senior on cant afford regular rates. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Hidden Gem!
Took a chance on this course based on reviews. Never heard of this course amongst friends. Glad I played! Course looked cheesy at first as the first hole is alongside busy Falls Rd with an unsightly net. Not long after the course is quick to show its worth. Tee boxes, greens, sugary bunkers, fairways are all immaculate. Better than some country clubs. Greens look hardly played on; but very fast and not receptive to shots..so be forewarned. Course layout is not very difficult, but the many areas of TALL weed hazards gives the course Bite. Don't bother searching for your ball. Nice, well marked, driving range. Even golf carts had lots of Pep. A must play for the money. No gnats when I played; guess it depends on the day?
rain out
The course is great and in good shape,.Buthas been a huge gnats problem over the years which has made the experience less enjoyable. We received a full refund for the rainout so it was good.
Overall an average course for a decent price and is typically log jammed
Decent round for the price. Greens are well maintained. Course layout is tight.
Solid course.
Greens were a little hard, but everything else was fine. It can be easy to lose balls in the higher grass just off the fairways. Staff was real friendly and I was given an R1 to demo.
god location from northern Va.
Pace of play was decent and starting time was pretty close to the reserved time. For this time of year conditions were satisfactory. Very friendly staff.
Short, Crowded, and Not So Easy
A public course nearby my home I seldom go to because it is always crowded and the layout is not my favorite. The day I played was no exception. It was very crowded and it took almost 5 1/2 hours to finish 18 holes. I felt as if I was driving a car bumper to bumper in rush hour. My team mates were also slow players. It was a week day and I wasted a couple of work hours. The course is very popular because it is located close to Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. There are famous private country clubs nearby such as Congressional and TPC Potomac. The course layout is narrow and short, and it is not so easy to get good scores. I won't go there for a long time. I recommend you to go to any other courses if you want to play real golf. GolfNow's price of $16 was great, but I didn't feel it a bargain.
Course lacks challenging shots...
This course lacks challenging golf shots and water hazards, but since i am a novice to the game it a good course for me. All u other PGA professionals stay away from this course.
Cool blustery day. Fairways pretty good for mid-March, greens just aerated but they gave a discount to reflect that.
This course can get very slow on weekends, but was OK today due to blustery weather. We finished in about 4 hrs. 20 min. I have seen rounds take over 5 hrs. on summer weekends. Greens just aerated so putting was a challenge but they discounted rate to reflect that.
wide and long, well maintained, though can see houses
It is located a conveneient area. courses are wide and long. better than ordinary evaluation. Though houses are seen, none of them hinder the play.
One problem was their strategy. Though there was no frost, they delayed for an hour and half. I thought the reason was there was not enough players reserved.
not a real golf course
bad and short fairways. The staff were not really friendly. There was no one playing that day due to the cold, but i showed up early and had to wait til my t-time, doesnt make any sense.
Staff act like they are doing you a favor to let you play.
The starter is particularly unhelpful -- pace of play also is horrific (gave up after nine holes).
Clean-few fall leaves
players need to repair their divits. Staff should emphasize this
Pleasantly Surprised
This course was pretty well maintained. It was the first time I played it for a year. The pace of play was abnormaly long due to a corprate outing. The greens were cut very tight playing as fast as ever have played. I played from the senoir tees for the first time. I would rate this course a 3.5 out of 5.
Great Condition- Slow pace of play
The course is in great conidtion. But it took me over 2 1/2 hours to just get through 9 holes. I think it a course that would play faster mid week rather than fridays or Saturdays.
