Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

I want my money back
I wish I was informed that at least 7-8 greens were temporary greens. Before I booked this on golf now and paid for it. Fairways were horrible.
Bad greens
It would have been nice to know that so many greens were in such bad shape. There were 5 holes that were using the fairway as a green. Putting was useless since the cup was put in the fairway in front of the green.
Below average
5 "temporary greens" a flag stuck out front of greens. Greens that were in use had patches of what I could only call weeds all over them. Bunkers were inconsistent, some had sand some not (dirt). As a whole it was a pretty chewed up golf course.
Not what it used to be
This was once a very fine challenging course but has lost a lot of its shine
There were 8 temporary greens and those that were open had little grass and too many weeds
Greens need work
I read some really bad recent reviews on this course so I was quite apprehensive of playing here. I was pleasantly surprised overall. For sure the greens need work. There is no joy in putting on these greens. Many times I did not bother with even trying to make a putt as it was not really a fair test. That said, the course has great bones, so therefore was an enjoyable round. Tees, fairways and sand were all very playable. The par threes are particularly challenging. Plenty of sand, water and trees to catch wayward shots. Just look at it as a practice day that sure beats hitting balls at the range.
Simply Horrible Conditions
Worst golf course I have played in Florida in many, many years. Greens were just pathetic and that’s the actual greens. They have several temporary greens set up that are just ridiculous. NEVER going back there again.
Hunters Creek
There were several temporary greens! The greens that were playable were in ugly shape, no green grass, plenty of weeds, and just NOT fun to play. In season, this may be a great course, but its condition today was atrocious!
Save your money!!
Putting This Course In Our Rearview Mirror
Extremely disappointed in course condition. The 5 temp greens (cut out of fairway) were better than the greens available to play. Fairways were in rough shape as well...hard and unkept. As a former frequent player told us..."It is so bad, I wouldn't play here if I wanted to have fun." Will not go back. Back story: heard that cause was sold to new owner back in October 2020. Appears new owners not aggressively tackling much needed maintenance. Time will tell if new owner will step up or not.
Nice course being negleted
The course is well laid out and fun to play. The maintenance is negligible. I did not see one person working to improve the course. 5 or 6 greens are "under repair" and not useable with temporary greens for play. Most of the greens that are "in play" are mostly sand and rough grass. The fairways are overgrown with weeds.
When I went into the pro shop to get my round, there was no one there. A person came in - apparently a supervisor or something and checked me in.
This is a real shame. I played this course 5 years ago and it was excellent. Save your money and golf elswhere.
Disgusting
4 holes had flag relocated on fairway to repair greens. The problem is that it has been like that for 2 months and greens are worse now than 2 months ago . Guarantee there is NO maintenance accept the horrible grass/ weeds being cut, tee boxes are the worst I have ever seen. The greens all have weeds and sand on them , the fairways are hard and patchy. ALL THIS FOR $35 DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$. The 3 of us playing yesterday argued about who's idea it was to play there!!!
Never again
I would say the course is about a month away from going out of business. 4 temporary greens , it should have been 18 - not one green or tee box worthy of being on a golf course.
Poorest of poor conditions
Little to no grass on several of the greens. Some of the pins weren’t even set on greens. Pins were set in fairways as grass conditions were so horrible on greens. Can’t believe these course conditions aren’t included in advertising.
