terrible

I got attacked by hundreds of bees on the 9th hole. The staff was not nice to me and said it was my fault. The fairways are all dirt. The greens are like my backside with acne. (very bumpy) The clubhouse looks haunted. They forgot to make a hole on the 10th green. The starter said my tee shot was terrible and I should go home. There was a tree in the middle of the fairway on the 3rd hole. I was driving the golf cart and the wheels fell off. In conclusion, I would play again!

Best Regards, Larry Bird

Very Great track!!!

The best course I have ever played. Very easy to score well. It's either that or you suck. Anyways, I birdied all but the 17th hole. I eagled that one. Call me the best. The staff lady was very attractive and was flirting with me. She let me come to her house later that night and we had some fun if you know what I mean. The range is great as well. Every hole has great greens and are easy to read. I would play this course every day.

A Good County Course

Fox Hollow is one of the Baltimore County owned and operated courses. It still has one of the old clubhouses (not updated/renovated like Diamond Ridge), but it offers a snack bar with normal snack bar type food. The course is not very long -- 5100+ from the red tees up to 6100+ from the tips. It has wide fairways, some elevation changes, and some short scoring holes as well. With all the rain we've had, the course was pretty dry, except there were some soggy places on the edges of the fairways. The bunkers were dry and raked. And, the fairways were in good condition, albeit a little on the long side. My issue with this course is always the same--slow pace of play, and golfers who don't understand etiquette. They run a men's league early Saturday morning, which backs up the course. And, the twosome we were paired with with relatively new golfers (which isn't a problem), but they couldn't stay up with pace of play nor did they know course etiquette, i.e., driving while you're hitting, talking in your back swing, walking behind you while you're putting, etc. Unfortunately, I find this to be true on most of the Baltimore County and City courses as they have the same clientele...they need to read the Etiquette section of the USGA Rules of Golf to be considerate of other players. I'll stick to weekday play on this course.

Thanks foe the course info, but ease up on the new golfers. Did you try to help them? Did you work with them on your etiquette issues? It sounds like they were what public/muni golf courses are built for: learning, enjoying and growing the game.
