Westminster National Golf Course

I played early on a weekday. I got a very good online price under $30 with cart. I played with one other player. 18 holes took us about 3:10.

Greens are in good condition, held short iron shots, putt true and quick, and most are mounded with break almost all putts.

Tee boxes were ok. Fairways and rough were decent. Some rough is too high.

Midweek speed of play was pretty wide open as a 3 hour round would indicate.

Putting green was very nice, range was closed early in the morning for picking.
Pro shop and snack bar have nicely priced assortments of the typical items you'd expect.

Course is SHORT. It's a legit par 71, just under 6,000 yards from the tips, and about 5750 from the Whites.

The layout is good overall. There are 2 right angle dogleg holes that are a bit "hinkey", requireing you to hit a less than full tee shot to a corner, and then continue play to the green. Most holes are straightforward and a decent challenge.

This course has historically been good value for the price but something must have changed in terms of course conditions. The fairways were significantly burned and greens were not rolled.

At $32 twilight on a weekend this place is a steal. Greens were in immaculate condition, whoever is taking care of them needs a raise. Can’t say the same for fairways and rough however, lots of brown and patchy spots. Nonetheless a great value and fun layout.

Layout of this course is fun and interesting and would have been much more enjoyable if it weren't for the extremely slow pace of play. A marshal or two on a couple of holes could most likely change this but there were none. For the cost, well worth the 5+ hour round but won't return for a second round unless they marshal the course.
Staff not very friendly as they look at you as an outsider, which we are, but we're all golfers looking to try out new courses. If you don't want outsiders invading your course, don't sell on Golfnow and stay in your little bubble.
