Main at Northwest Park Golf Course

The greens at this course have been aerated and they give you no notice about it. Got to the course an hour early to hit balls and never received any kind of notice untill I got on the course. Extremely dissapointed becaue I had 3 clients who can play so wewere looking forward to a good match

Do not be turned off by the Inside 9. Great value and some very challenging holes. Two drawbacks -- the bunkers are not sand, but dirt and rocks- play them at your own risk. Second are geese. They are all over the Inside 9, but seem to leave the Main Course alone.

There are no par 5's, but the par 4's on #'s 3, 4, and 6 have a creek running right through the drive landing zone, forcing a forced carry or a lay up. I lay up. Hole 7 forces you to drive through a narrow lane.

I like golf courses that reward good shots but punish bad shots. The Inside 9 does this for a very reasonable price ($17 on weekdays walking) and a very quick pace. Figure 2 hrs to play the 9 holes.

I've never had a grounds keeper water a green while I was putting on it before. This included laying a hose between me and the pin.

This is a very challenging course that would test your golf skills especially playing fro the blue and black tees. The course has been very well maintained.

This a great course and very well maintained. like a bottle of wine... getting better thru the years.

Having played at this course many times I has expected a good round. Unfortunately the greens have been aerated so it was tough putting on the greens. As far as the course goes one joke has a temporary green. Other than that the fairways were good & the tee boxes are in good condition. The pace of play was good. We were a twosome & we finished just under 4 hours. All in all I just hope the course advertises that they have aerated the greens.

I booked a late tee time on a Sunday, and it rained all morning. I was a single, arrived early, and the very friendly starter said I was free to play whenever I was ready. I played the front by myself and caught a 3some on number 11, teamed up with them and finished in 4 hours. The course was challenging but fair. The greens were very fast, keep your ball below the hole! It's a nice traditional parkland layout. There are basically no houses visible from the course, I felt like the only person in the world while playing the front. I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone.

A very well-kept and challenging 9 hole course (par 3 and 4s only) with a creek going throughout the majority of the holes that adds a level of difficulty.

The course is in great shape. It's long with wide fairways and the greens are in excellent shape.

For the amount of traffic this course gets daily it is very well maintained. Course is long, but fair. Staff was very attentive and cordial and the course marshal was visible but not intrusive. The only odd thing was upon check in you walk out to the starter, who then checks your ticket before instructing you (as if we should know this) that the carts are "back at the barn" - some 100 yards away from the start. We would have thought the carts would've been lined up near the starter, Perhaps this was a unique situation that particular day. Either way we had a great experience and really enjoyed the course.

i got a deal with Golfnow.com to play there. when I got there, I did not know that the course only open the front 9, not the back 9 because of flooding. they posted the sign at the main entrance of the building, but I came in the side door as there are 2 side doors access to the building. The guy that checked me in was not happy that I was not there 20 minutes before tee time which a bit surprise me given the course was very empty since only 9 holes were open. He did not tell me about the course conditions at all, and there was no Starter or Marshall at the course and I saw a group of 4 women just teed off, so I decided to tee off at the back 9 instead since it's already 4:10pm. Right after that, the same guy went out and screamed at me for not following his instructions that the back 9 was closed. I told him that I would not have played the back 9 if I was told it was closed. He then got very upset by accusing me of lying and made a scene out of it. Not sure he's having a bad day or what, but there's no reason to treat your customer that way. Bottom line, I will never play there again since there are many other courses close by and know how to take care of customers.

Great course. Playing from the tips here is a bit long for me since I hit my drive about 240 yds. The course is challenging but not unfair. The Sunday pin positions, however, were a bit unfair in some cases cut on the sides of sloping greens that even pros would have a tough time dealing with. Course was in awesome shape!

i played northwest on tuesday, i played from the tees in front of the tips, but on this particular day, it didnt make much difference, they were almost just as far. i think the shortest par 3 was 179 yards. greens were nice and firm. the course was playing flat out tough, and i was very challenged.

The white tees are greater than 6300 yards and too long for me. If you don't hit the fairways the rough is very difficult to get out of. Lots of elevation changes which was fun. No significant water. I had 5 three putts and one four putt.

Course is in great shape. Rough is bit on the heavy side, but probably trimmed to right length. Greens a bit on the large side, but very interesting yet readable breaks.

Using Golfnow was fantastic and quick. It save me money for tee time and it was easy to use. I will reserve my tee times this way for now on.

The staff at check in could have cared less if we were there or not. The golf pro came out on the 10th fairway and told us we had to hurry up, meanwhile we didn't see another group for 3 holes and they were 2+holes behind us, and never came close to keeping up, let alone catching us.

For a rainy day the course drained well. The greens were in good shape. Layout is nice because most of the holes are different. Nice wide landing areas on most of the holes. The rough was healthy, probably due to rain. I would play here again if there is another deal on golf now.
