Nutters Crossing Golf Course
About
Nutters Crossing Golf Club was voted one of the top 10 public courses in the U.S. The course wanders across gently sloped hills, incorporating eight water hazards and a strategically placed maze of more than 50 bunkers. The yardage is seemingly short but the hazards that come into play throughout make it seem much longer. The golf course offers two distinct layouts that make for an interesting round. The front nine is wide open with some room for error but the back nine is routed through woodlands, demanding accuracy and thoughtful strategy. There is an interesting variety of holes as well including short par 4s, moderate par 5s, and tough par 3s that are made even more difficult on a windy days. Nutters Crossing Golf Club is challenging but fair and its rolling greens are known for their immaculate conditions.

Nice course
The course was in good shape, the fairways were nice, the greens were a bit slow because they had been aerified earlier in the week. Overall a very good layout.
Good course for the buck
The course was pretty good. The layout was a little weird for my liking but greens were fast and nice. Staff was pretty friendly. Overall not a bad place for the cost of a round
Nice public course
Played Nutters multiple times. It is a nice little track that plays a little boxy. Plays a lot different since the renovated a few holes. Overall it is a very nice public golf course with a friendly staff
Good public course
This is a good course for the buck. The course layout annoys me because the holes are all bunched together but they always keep the greens in tip top condition.
Great improvements
I played this course as part of a tournament, but having played on a regular basis, it is a great value, particularly if you are local and get one of the local cards. The course was in the best shape I've seen it in years, and for early in the summer the greens were rolling quite fast and true. Two temporary tees were in use, as two holes are being lengthened from par 4's to par 5's. The adjustment to the soon-to-be par 5 seventh hole, will make it a great hole. Only thing I have not liked about this course is that there is not a cheaper option to walk. It's an easy walking course, but no financial benefit to do so.
Great Challenging Course
This was a great, well maintained course. Fairways were perfect. Must be accurate with shots as there are several hazards on both sides of the fairway. Would definitely play here again!
Quick pace of play
Had a 2pm tee time was able to start 30 minutes early and completed 18 holes as a twosome in 3 hrs 30 mins. Open layout .
This course is now challenging
I rated the course conditions fair because the fairways needed cutting - got very little roll. The greens are in excellent conditions but also needed cutting - a little too slow. The greens have greatly improved in the past years - they used to be bumpy and really slow and very frustrating to get a feel. I have played this course many times over the past 20 years and it has gone from easy to challenging, especially due to certain holes where the trees are now grown and will stymie your shot if your drive is off target. Typically any staff will be a reflection of management or long time employees who tend to be grumpy.
Fun course to play
Course has been improved since the last time I played several years ago. Greens and fairways were much better. Fun for a mid to high handicap player.
Good shape!
Overall course in good shape...tough putting due to aeration of the greens. Recommend.
Nice layout, not too long, but great use of doglegs, contours etc
Played Nutters Crossing on the last day of a four day mini golfing break in MD. Other 3 courses were carved out of pine forests, NCGC was a little different.
Lot's of water, but not too challenging. Greens were nice, rolled well. Clever use of dog legs to make some short holes tougher to hit in two if your tee shot was out of position.
Despite being drenched by a rainstorm from the 12th or 13th hole onwards, we played on because we were enjoying it so much.....and it was our last day before returning to work the next day !
Nice course, good value for money - everyone was really friendly - from the pro-shop to the guys tending the course (and there seemed to be plenty of those guys out there keeping the place looking nice), to the members we encountered during the round.
You could do a lot worse than Nutter's crossing if you're in the area.!
FUN
Nutters has a user-friendly layout. If you strike the ball cleanly you will find yourself with plenty chnaces to score. Short course so don't be afraid to leave the driver in the bag on a few of the par fours.
Descent track but not one to get excited about
Fairways and greens were in good shape. Cart paths were in good condition. Staff was friendly. Played in mid afternoon 90 heat and had the course to ourselfs.
Grounds were in need of some attention. Not a well manicured property. We got a good rate for a discounted t-time. Don't think the regular rate would have been worth the price. OK for a practice round.
Very good course with one small oddity to it
I arrived at 2:25 with my wife and my two young daughters to play 18 holes. It was 95 degrees out and the course was empty, perhaps due to the heat that day. I gave the greens fee stub to the starter and he stared at me. I told him I had a 3:08 tee time and he stared at me a little more and then laughed and said "OK....you got about a half hour before you can tee off" I thought it was strange to have to wait when there were no players in front of me. Very quickly though, the starter caught on and asked if I wanted to start early, which I was able to do. Course is in nice shape and it was a fun round of golf. Finished in 4 hours and left so all in all it was a good round and well worth the GolfNow low price. I'd play it again for sure.
nice course
Overall nice course. Greens and fairways good shape. Greens are on the slow side and you don't need to play as much break as it appears, so once you play a couple of holes, you will get the feel for them. Always an enjoyable day spent here, as most, but not all, holes are fairly forgiving, for off center shots
Nutters
Course was in great shape. I had a enjoyable round at a moderate pace of play.
GREAT COURSE
I LOVE THE GREENS AND I LOVE THE 9TH HOLE. Greens are fast and perfect for good putters. The length of the course is perfect.
