Nutters Crossing Golf Course
About
Nutters Crossing Golf Club was voted one of the top 10 public courses in the U.S. The course wanders across gently sloped hills, incorporating eight water hazards and a strategically placed maze of more than 50 bunkers. The yardage is seemingly short but the hazards that come into play throughout make it seem much longer. The golf course offers two distinct layouts that make for an interesting round. The front nine is wide open with some room for error but the back nine is routed through woodlands, demanding accuracy and thoughtful strategy. There is an interesting variety of holes as well including short par 4s, moderate par 5s, and tough par 3s that are made even more difficult on a windy days. Nutters Crossing Golf Club is challenging but fair and its rolling greens are known for their immaculate conditions.

Course was interesting.
Relatively short but still had fun. Never really had to use a low numbered iron. Tees in greens are in great shape.
Great Value- Friendly staff
Early season weather had winds whipping at 30 mph, so conditions weren't great but I played anyway. I arrived much earlier than my scheduled tee time as I was traveling and can never predict traffic.
The pro used common sense and allowed me to go out early,( thank you!).
Niue easy layout to follow as a first timer to Nutters Crossing.
Lots of water holes so hit it straight and enjoy!
great course to get in 18 & get out..
greens are in nice shape for winter. medium speed on greens with ability to stop ball
Good warm-up course
This is a great course to start a golf vacation. It is not overly challenging, but it is not hiding anything to trick you if you hit a less-perfect shot. The course is a short drive from Ocean City and is reasonably priced, in decent condition every time we have played there. Unfortunately, they were getting over a five inch rain event and we had to use cart paths, but overall drainage was fine, and most of the fall leaves were blown off the fairways, and only near the trees. Greens were fine, and pace of play was good considering the cart-path regulation.
Yes, a fun course!
This is the first time we played this course, and we will be back! Some undulation, some water hazards, made it very interesting from hole to hole. It could be considered a little short, but play the blue tees if you're a long ball hitter and you'll enjoy. We played the day after several days of rain, and yes, it was soggy in just a few places, but I've played soggier courses on better days!
Nutters Crossing is currently in great condition and well worth the greens fees.
Greens are plush, course is well maintained. Playing this course as a "hot deal" is a great deal!!
What a gem!
Well worth the 30 minute drive from Ocean City, Md. This course is a gem. Fairways were nicer than most greens on a muni. Greens were fast but fair. The staff was extremely accommodating and allowed us to get out a little earlier than our scheduled tee time, which was a Saturday afternoon. Keep this one on your list for any return trip to the Eastern Shore.
Course is starting to show some wear and tear
Overall a nice course, with wide open fairways and no outrageously long holes. There are a few greens and tee boxes that surprisingly need some attention. This is a bit out of character for the course and hopefully it gets rectified over the off season.
Nice course!
Having played many courses and trying to figure out what shot/club to use, Nutters is more "no nonsense" in the fact that the basic principle of "hit it where you need to" is the driving factor here. As a 14 hcp, you can score 76 or 90 at Nutters. The par 5 4th can play really long when the NW winds blow. There are only 3 or 4 holes that hitting from blues vs white add any significant issues. When the back pins are in place, the par 3 17th can be a real challenge as your looking at almost 200 yds to a flag on the far right side guarded by tall grass behind the green and bunkers with water short and right of the green. You'll use all clubs on this course and don't be long and right on the jewel par 4 13th, the hard ground prior to the pond will ruin your day! Great course and a superb bargain!
Nice
Overall the course was in good shape, the fairways and greens were well maintained and in great shape. The rough was spotty with grass and dirt patches, but for the price it was great! Great staff, and clubhouse. Would definitly play here again!
Great value, Excellant Condition
Undoubtedly some of the best greens I have played on recently, consistent speed thru all 18, slightly faster than others in the area and true rolls to the cup, I loved to putt on this course. Although we played in November, and the Bermuda fairways were brown (dormant), they were in fantastic condition and except for color, seemed like they were in mid-spring/summer playability. I would definitely return.
It's not spectacular but it's not bad
If your just getting your game into the low 90's looking to break into the 80's like me I think this is a great course to get a good feel for it....pretty much wide open with not to many hazards but nice views. It's a well kept course.
