Fun Time
The course has some fun to play holes that kept the game interesting. I really like the challenging landscape and the well kept greens.
A Gem of a course here in Western Mass
Amazing transformation has taken place at this course. Each time I've golfed here I see improvements. If the owner's continue upgrading; this is absolutely going to be one of the best courses in our area. Challenging, beautiful surroundings and friendly staff!
Very relaxing golf course.
Mill Valley is the most welcoming golf course. They have the best staff who are very friendly. Back nine are very challenging. Always have a great time there!!
This was a fun course to play on and moved along quickly.
We arrived early by an hour and allowed to go right out. We were met by the manager who was friendly and helpful, he explained the layout of the course as we were first timers to the course. The booklet of the course was also helpful and true to have as we rode around. I loved the challenge of the course, the hills, turns and enjoyed the views. Mill Valley is in a quiet setting and is well maintained, the greens to tees are well spaced (we rode). The fairways were cut nice, the roughs were playable and you had to study the greens to figure out the rolls. It appears that they have put a lot of work into the course and still working on areas (didn't effect/interfere our play). Loved the clubhouse prices and staff, we went in after nine for a quick bite (called) and beverages, when we left for the back nine we were given a cooler for the drinks, nice touch.
good course, bad staff
If your a Golf Now customer be prepared to be treated like a 2nd class citizen. For some reason owner and staff dont appreciate golf now paying customers. the owner wouldnt even lets us throw our trash out at the end of play, not to mention there is not 1 water cooler on the course, then he has the nreve to say you cant bring outside drinks mind you we only drink water.. And ground staff have no courtesy when your playing they just stay there in the middle of the course , then when you hit they say you could have told us you were going to hit when all they had to do was move to the side and continue talking. Staff is the worse i have encountered. i also wrote to Golf now to see why the bad blood for Golf now customers. He needs to change his act. Other than that its a fun course, but the staff STINKS!
great views
very hilly course, must use a cart, too bad because I prefer to walk, front 9 is a bit bland, some good holes, but conditions a bit rough in places, no drinking water on the course, back 9 a bit more picturesque, some great driving holes with major eleavation changes, fun course, a few forced carries, a few blind shots, decent traps, slowish greens, some womens tees no grass at all(whats up with that?), cart paths need to be groomed(very rocky), I really want to play there again , so I know where to place certain shots...go play!
interesting layout
This course has an interesting layout with some difficult holes, but also some very fun holes.
They compained to me about the rate I paid through Golf Now
I live locally and have played this course quite a few times. I was shocked today that the person running the course actually gave me a hard time about how much I paid to play there! I did not set the rate on Golf Now, they did! Maybe it was cheap because it has grass growing in the bunkers or the attitude of the man running the place? Either way I will drive 10-20miles (and happily pay more) to play elsewhere. where they appreciate my patronage!
geting better all the time
I have played this course, a few times a years over the last 4 years. This last visit I was really impressed how much improved, this course has become. Give it a shot, I think you will be quite surprised. Much hard work, has been done by the entire ground crew, and it shows!
good
the course itself is very good especially for someone just starting out. However, I felt the staff rushed me through my game on two separate occasions, we were actually told to "hurry up".
No
When I walked in to the pro shop an said I had a tee time from golf now he did not know what golf now was. I asked for a handicap flag and he had know idea what I was talking about.
When we finished the18th hole the cart path led us through the woods and without any warning it brought us across the middle of the first fairway.
low key, nice greens
The greens were quite good for the rate charged. They roll nicely and have some slope (although the 15th, I think, takes this to the extreme). Beautiful views, some interesting hole designs, quite fair. Low key, a little slow, but good value. Not an easy walk, especially between some tees. The greens are the strength of the course.
Not great
If you want to play a course in Belchertown Id advise you to play Cold Spring Country Club. This course will disappoint.
none
Greens and fairways were in excellent shape, but the sand traps on many holes needed alot of help as there was grass and weeds growing in a number of them.
Good value
Good greens, average fairways. A very interesting course which I will surely play again.
Great prices amd course getting better over last year! Nice
Challenging for beginners or people who slice due to trees. Overall... Going back for sure!
Tight Course
Tight course with lots of crazy doglegs. Course is not maintained well enough in the rough for your average golfer to enjoy the round.
Very challenging, but fun!
This was the first time playing here and was told improvements are being made every year. We loved the uniqueness of the holes, espcially on the back nine.
Great place to golf
Well maintained, challanging terrain, quick greens. Had a great time and will return frequently throughout the season.
I would call the place "Rinky Dink". These words best describe my experience. I think I played with you :-)
