Might be the worst course I have ever played
The condition of this course is an embarrassment. You can't even push a tee into the tee boxes which have almost no grass on them at all and the fairways are 90% dirty or hard pan. I will say other than being slow the greens were in good shape. Donald Ross is rolling over in his grave seeing how bad of a condition this course is in.
Pathetic Greens
I don’t think this place even has a grounds crew. The greens have mounds of dirt in them. Snack shop was not open on a Saturday in May but staff will yell at you for bringing drinks on - how am I supposed to buy drinks when you are not selling any? Course has lots of potential but is poorly managed.
Greens need repairing
Greens on front 9 of course 1 were unplayable. Basically putting through sand traps.
This course...
This course is the equivalent of a stray dog afflicted with mange.
Terrible greens
I have played many municipal courses all over the country and this one had the worst greens I have ever played on. Covered with poa, large areas with no grass at all ,bumps ,patches with bare spots . Sad to see a Donald Ross design in that kind of condition.
Course #1
Early season round so things weren’t great. Most Tee’s and fairways were pretty good. Half of the greens were pretty good but others were not.
Most of the sand traps were ok but some needed attention. I played for 15 bucks walking and meet Sean on the back 9 and had a good time.
Great value
Great value but no carts for maybe another week we were told
Ponkie
This is a course with amazing potential if just a bit more effort was put into it. It has all the looks that a golfer could ask for. The fairways were fine but the tee boxes and greens could certainly benefit from some TLC.
In spite of that, I really enjoyed playing the course.
Donald Ross knew what he was doing.
I booked the tee up time of 3:00pm, with including cart fees in the GolfNow. However, I had to walk because the last time for cart was 2:30pm. I didn’t receive the cart fees yet, and I will complain to the GolfNow later. The condition of green was not good, whereas the fairway was good rather than I expected.
GREENS
I love this course, a little long for me, but worth it.
The greens need to be fixed up, #12 is like playing in bunkers, #17 is like mud at the top of the green most likely from too much shade from the trees.
Excellent track
The layout is most excellent greens a little rough end of year this was a one time a pga course I believe
