Early in the season Westover.
This was our first round of the season and the course was on great shape for this early in the year. Only a couple of holes had soft, wet conditions. The greens were sanded and a bit slow right now but that's exactly what you should expect in mid-March in New England.
Beautiful course
Well maintained and fun. Loved it.
Played with a member who’s son is the Pro here. Randomly paired up. Very nice man getting after it at 81 years old. If his son is a reflection of him, there are good people around these links.
Excellent track
Love the golf here. Very nice tee boxes, fairways and the greens are nearly perfect. The sand needs some help, for instance the right side fairway bunker on 18 isn't sand anymore, it's hard packed clay and is like hitting off the cart path. Great course to walk, it's mostly flat with only a couple of small hills to traverse.
My only real complaint is one of the starters likes to rush people out and send people out without the full group. Twice now at this course I've showed up 30 minutes before my tee time, only to find my group was already sent out 20 minutes prior to my arrival and I was immediately rushed into another group, unable to even lace up my shoes before being forced to tee off. I show up early enough to get some practice putts on the green, I don't appreciate being hurried and rushed by someone that can't even be bothered to keep the groups grouped. Several courses in this area have starters that just make their own rules as they go, and that's gotta change.
Love this course !!
We drive almost 1 hour to play here. I love how the fairways are wide open The bunkers and green are well maintained. There are a bunch of shaded areas for the hot summer days. Staff there are always pleasant and helpful. Love this course !!
Highly Disrespectful
Was approached by another group of golfers about a wild drive in a disrespectful manner when it was clearly the party in front of me/ behind them. Not to go as far as to calling it racially motivated because I don't believe in that but it was an obvious mistake that was not recognized once made apparent. The Marshall seen me leave the course early and came up to apologize. Good course but probably never coming back.
Course is in great shape
Course is in great shape. Unfortunatly a slow walking 4some playing at about a 15 minute per hoke pace I front of us was holding up the entire course. Nobody did anything about it. Other than that great day.
Great course...
Apart from the occasional fighter pilots who felt compelled to catch a glimpse of our game from the air, it's a serene and great course
