Excellent as always
Fantastic experience all around,cept the drink prices, $75 for 3 Buds 3 Coors lights and 3 high noons to go on the course was a bit over the top in hindsight.
That being said,great restaurant with great food great owner,
Outstanding course
Thoroughly enjoyed my round here. Loved the layout and approach shots into the greens. I’m a big fan of deep bunkering and greens with assorted slopes and multiple pin possibilities. The elevation changes added to the beauty of this course. A true gem.
Up to par
South Shore checks all the boxes. Interesting layout, well conditioned, and challenging. I highly recommend this one 👌

Everything about the course and it's operation is excellent. A well maintained and manicured layout supplemented by friendly staff and professional personnel. I was totally impressed and would be back in a heartbeat.
Great Course
This is a very good course to play. Well maintained. Liked it very much.
So you think you can play golf?
Not as plush as the new, "private amenity" courses but very playable despite recent heavy rains. A century old design full of challenges. Blind approach shots, few level lies, elevation changes galore.
To be fair, the cart paths were pretty rough and the bunkers were a bit inconsistent. It's been a tough summer for both.
On the plus side, the greens were above and beyond anything you will see at your usual course. Moderate and consistent speed, rolled true, but certainly a great test of putting skill. False fronts with front pins, lots of multilevel and contoured greens, almost no level putts. Delightful! Course was set up for a college match following us and perhaps that made things a bit more interesting.
Learned to play here, and caddied here more than 60 years ago but had not been back for decades. I will most definitely return.
