Situated in the heart of the beautiful Berkshires, Skyline Country Club offers golfers a setting unlike any other. With views that span the surrounding mountains and stretch to the Pontoosuc Lake, the golf course is New England scenery at its best. Besides just the stunning location, the golf course presents quite a challenge. You'll face a handful of blind shots as well as tricky uphill and downhill holes. The signature hole is the par-3 fifth. You'll find yourself stuck in a wooded ravine if you're too far left on this scenic, downhill hole but too far right and you'll be up on a ledge with a 15-foot drop to the green. Another tough hole follows, but it's less daunting than it appears. Skyline Country Club's par-4 sixth starts with a blind shot but the trees serve as a marker for your drive. With a good first shot, you could possibly make it onto the green in two.

irrigation issues
Unfortunately they have an irrigation issue that made the greens unplayable!!! Almost none of the greens would hold any approach shot and chipping and putting were next to impossible...... If I had known about this problem I would have never played there, I was very disappointed and frustrated.....its a nice course but the green are a disaster
Longest round of my life
The price was right, and the course is great, but by booking on-line, we were placed at the end of a large tournament - many of the players were non golfers so it took 3 hrs for 9 holes. We gave up, but will play again if ever in the area.
Beautiful Views of the Berkshires and fun to play
This course is a mountain course with many elevation changes. The fairways and greens are in good to very good condition. The cart paths are very rough but didn't detract from a fun round. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from almost every hole.
owner did not appreciate us using golf now
When we talked to the owner about using golf now he was very insulting. He made us feel very uncomfortable. His comment wad sarcasstedly "thanks for supporting the club".
The course was in good condition but we (a foursome) will never go back. If he didn't want peoplr yo use golf now he should not subscribe to it?..........
Tips on scorecard are important
Course in excellent condition. Greens smooth, not overly fast and held approach very well. The only complaint is the cart paths are in poor shape; very rutted and bumpy
A great course for the intermediate player
A nice and well maintained golf course; not too long or difficult but a lot of holes with challenges that required precision
Labor Day with Friends
For the past 7 years on Labor Day weekend, my friends and I have enjoyed playing Skyline. The course is always challenging and the views are beautiful. The staff (jim-Pro) is always helpful in arranging our tee times. After golf, have a cold beverage and a bite to eat. Looking forward to next years trip.
Avoid The Local Ladies!!
Myself and wife were having a great day enjoying the golf and service from Skyline, until the ladies league arrived, They effectively forced the two of us off the course by jumping ahead of us for a shotgun start, not replacing pins ahead of us and next pocketing a ball which must have got to close too them, leaving a poor taste, spoke to the Pro Jim who was understanding and apologetic, as tourist from the UK we are unlikely to use the kind offer of a free return, but are thankful for his consideration.
Time to play the oldies!
This course has been around for a long time, and I have played it before. The head Pro, and owner has done a terrific job making this very beautiful mountain side golf courses one of the best tracks around, Please get out there, and enjoy the views, and the golf...
Poor communication
We booked a round for two players at 12:45 only to find that we were the first group following a large outing that teed off on holes #1 and #10.
We called before booking to ask about conditions, etc., and no one told us about the outing. I understand why, we'd have chosen another place to play and they would not have our fees, but their one time grab of our dollars will cost them long term as we won't be going back.
You get your $$ worth
For $35?on a holiday weekend, beautiful weather great views the pace of play at 4 hrs seemed slow as we were a twosome behind a three some behind a twosome behind a threesome with a bunch of foursomes thrown in
Laid back and friendly staff
Great cooler bags
worth a trip
Cute course, challenging and beautiful views. The course layout is friendly to every golfer, forward tee options are thoughtfully placed. Open fairways and then a few holes require strategic blind layups. Greens roll nicely despite lots of rain and are fair but challenging.
Overall this course is great
The staff is very friendly and they always suggest us to join as a member. The pro is very friendly and always engages in conversation. They make you feel at home. I would recommend this course to anyone.
What can you say about $13 for 18 with a cart?
Farmer Jones built this course. Farmer Jones knew nothing about golf....
course very hilly terrain
Decent for the money. some holes require lay-up. some blind tee shots.
Avoid playing here!
Driving range is a joke, loud carts and poor conditions! Many better choices to spend 4 hours!
