Leave plenty of time in your schedule. Notoriously slow. Over 5 hour round. Too many tee times. Other than that nice track.

First time playing here and absolutely loved it. Will come again for sure. I like tactical/strategic golf where you need to plan a shot ahead of time rather than just bombs away every hole. Greens were pretty challenging as well, which is always fun.

One hour frost delay contributed a little bit to the 6 hr round but was mostly due to 2 older gentlemen who decided to walk one of the worst walking golf courses in Mass. The ranger did his best to convince them to ride even though they still decided to walk. Now your patrons behind them have a 6 hour round. Just don’t allow walking. For those who have never played this course - it’s extremely hilly with some large gaps between the holes including a 15-20 minute walk between holes nine and ten. Just ride please. Other than that, challenging course in great condition.

My experience was based on my first impression. Friday afternoon, 80 degrees and sunny. Staff at the clubhouse was not rude but could have been friendlier. Clubhouse selections were minimal, I forgot my hat and there weren’t many of options. It was clear that the course and clubhouse were old and not maintained very often. Started was great, lots of feedback on the course since it was my first time there. Cart paths were terrible and it was obvious that they hadn’t been maintained in a while. Has golf carts there could have been better. Fairways and greens were in great shape and well maintained, despite the fact they had just punched the greens the week before. That was expected for fall golf. Way-finding could have been better, luckily we teamed up with guys who have played here before. Snack shack at the turn was closed, very surprising for an 80 degree day. I would go back and play it again, but not on my top 10 list.

Excellent course and very friendly staff. Well maintained and well thought out holes.

Greeted by friendly staff, got a great deal on GolfNow and my daughter and I were paired up with two nice people. Pace was a little slow - players in front were older with handicap flags but we finished in 4-1/2 hours. Didn’t mind because the views are nice and plenty of shade. Holes have risk reward as much as you want. Conditions were near perfect.

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Course was plush, hilly and as challenging as you want to make it. Great deal on GolfNow. Had problems previously booking a single but the may have fixed it. Pace was a little slow with some older players but we weren’t in a hurry.

Greens where excellent course is moderate don't go on hot day no air.

Great course . Needs better signage for tee blocks, you must call ahead at the turn if you want to eat, they will not make food if you just walk into the clubhouse at the turn.

Been going to NECC for many years, but the entrance was a clue that something was different...and it was the old 18th hole...it was MAGNIFICENT!...then....
Upon moving up to the parking lot, there was nary a place to park, then was directed, for the first time, to not one but TWO over flow lots...NEVER seen it sooo busy during the week...

Upon checking in, learned there was no tournament, but Tuesday was one of their Sr Discount days, which when added to their Tuesday AM leagues just swamped the parking lots...only to see the momentum show for the PM league play...

All this, was put on context upon the condition of the course as we played our round...to say the condition was excellent, would be an understatement..roughs cut uniformly across the course...greens fast and true...fairways cut to perfection...

In terms of play, you must know which side of the fairways to target, else you will run into some nasty 'rewards' for good shots...the greens were perfect with virtually no divots...so you WILL need a lot of courage to play this course...and accuracy to just get to the greens...and even more once successfully on them...

Do stop in to their food area and try to get outside...the view is amazing...

Best I have ever seen this course condition...
