Reviews
Great track!
I play MGC regularly and it never disappoints. The greens are excellent and the layout is interesting. The course feels very real and natural. Will and his staff are friendly and welcoming to all. They also keep an eye on the course to make sure the pace of play is reasonable. This course is suitable for all levels of experience -- everyone enjoys playing here and I'm sure you will, too.
Great bang for buck
It's a great little 9 hole in a nice setting. The new owner has greatly improved the condition of the course. The greens are wonderful and challenging. The staff are wonderful.
Marion GC
Will and the staff do an amazing job maintaining Marion GC, thanks for all your hard work. I love this course and never tire of playing it. The par three 9th hole is my favorite; at 115 yards, it's a great way to end your round.
Nice course
This course is in great shape and the landscape is phenomenal. Great value and the staff is super-friendly. A must try.
Nice place
Enjoyed Fljngolfjnf thiier today. If it's your first time liim at the map before you go out so you know about the doglwg in hike 2 and how to get to hike 3 and 4. The great is easy.
DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH
LIKE FINDING A ONCE HIT PROV THIS COURSE IS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH. QUIRKY LAYOUT WITH STONE WALLS SURROUNDING THE PAR 3'S. VERY CHALLENGING GREENS. A 208 YARD PAR 4 THAT YOU CANNOT REACH IN 1 SHOT, ONLY DRAWBACK TO THE COURSE IS THERE ARE ONLY 3 CARTS FOR RENTAL. VERY WALKABLE COURSE , I HAD A LEG ISSUE GOING ON THE DAY WE PLAYED SO i RODE. IF THIS PLACE WAS CLOSER TO MY HOME I WOULD PLAY IT WEEKLY..
A good value
Greens in good shape. Course burnt out. Good potential with investment.
Not Riviera's Cousin
Same designer as Riviera......to call this place a cow pasture is an insult to cow pastures.......BUT.....it's still a good place to play!! Old school! Fairways barely distinguishable, but greens are in great shape. Lovely views. I didn't know how to answer "staff friendliness"....because there was no staff! Had an honor system with a sign on the door.....15 bucks for nine holes...just put it in the box.......had the place to myself. OK, so it's not Pinehurst......but it's every bit as memorable!!!
Fun For All
This is a dinky little country golf course that I've played for fifty years. It's extremely informal, I usually play with beers in the bag or in the car for when you make the turn. Perfect course for a Sunday bag and maybe eight clubs. Hackers everywhere, balls flying every which way, never had more fun on a golf course in my life. It's wide open, you can stand on the 6th tee and see almost the entire course. Last time I was there was on a holiday weekend and it was $20.00. If you're looking for a serious game, forget it. If you're looking for a game of idiot golf with your high-handicap pals, you've come to the right place.
