allendale
course conditions were perfect. close second to pine hills. played 18 in under four hours. I will be back soon.
Highly recommend this course
Arrived at course early as a twosome. Starter had an opening so we got off 25 minutes ahead of scheduled tee time. A foursome let us through on the third tee. Played round in 3:10 minutes without rushing.
Tees and fairways in excellent condition. Greens ran on the fast side with many severe back to front green designs. Greens virtually manicured. Wide fairways with ample landing area. Overall, course in excellent mid-summer condition.
I would highly recommend this course to all level of golfers. Another most enjoyable experience at this course.
Great course, excellant greens and good layout
Allendale has a bit of everything for you right from the start. A straight away par four on -#1 that becomes difficult with trees encroaching the fairway right at about 220-250 of the tee. A nice approach shot to a difficult green and you are off. A long par four second, mid length par 3 on three and a tricky par four dogleg right on the fourth hole, show you the great variety of holes you will encounter when playing this track. The greens are the real gems here and when they get fast as they were the day I played you better be below the hole on most holes. Every good course has some holes that birdie is the goal and Allendale has a few of those but each one has it's places where you can't hit it and that gamble off the tee could cost you an easy par. The par fives are all reachable for the longer hitters but again don't make a mistake or your birdie chance or par is in jeopardy. Staff is outstanding and willing to work with any group you have to make your day outstanding. The Valley Top Grille has some excellent food and a really nice atmosphere. Basically if you don't enjoy yourself at Allendale you just played bad, lost your Nassau, or your mad at your sigbificant other.
Fun round
Allendale is a great place for golf. It's nice enough (and layed out properly enough) to challenge skill golfers, but it's also moderately easy from forward tees for beginners. Everyone gets to enjoy the beautifully manicured greens. I was lucky enough to not lose a ball this round, which left me feeling good as there are no secret hazards on this course. What you see in front of you is what you get. Straightforward very solid golf course.
Enjoyed everything about the experience. The staff was courteous and the course was in good shape. Will be back!!
Hot deal value
The course since being made semi-public has taken its toll as the rough shows the lack of maintenance it once had. I wouldn't pay full price to play here but a "hot deal" on the golf now app is a pretty good deal. Overall the greens, tee boxes and fairways are in pretty good shape. Bunkers were actually pretty good as well..just had an issue with the landscaping. Doesn't look like it's been cut or cared for properly. I'd still play the course again until the conditions are unplayable.
Great Course
This is a wonderful golf course. Well groomed, and is a great layout that allowes you to play all the clubs in your bag!
One of the best public courses I have played!
Always a good round
My wife and I played a fun round of golf. We were behind an outing that we caught up with on the 11th hole. They were done on the 13th hole and clear sailing. Enjoyed the golf course. Play from the correct tees and have fun. Have played here before with golfing buddy and never disappointed.
Staff frendliness
Enjoyed my experience, very nice golf course in very good conditions but most importantly very impressed with the staff, probably the best staff I've encountered at a golf course.
Nice course big value
Nice course good shape greens have good speed play moved right along would play again
Great pace of play… on the front nine.
Really nice course, always in great condition. Not heavily wooded, which is nice for those of us whose driver accuracy is questionable at best! Our twosome got around the front nine in 1.25 hours. The back nine we were stuck behind a very slow foursome that refused to let us play through, the second half took almost 3 hours. Stop in the bar on your way out and try the pulled pork nachos, it was delicious!
classic New England golf
You can tell by the course that this used to be a private course. The layout was nice and the conditioning is top notch. I do not remember any quirky holes. And the course was well signed so easy to make your way around if a first timer like me. The greens were in awesome shape and yielded true putts. But pay attention to the shape when hitting into them, they are challenging.
The other amenities are basic. Driving range is for under 200 yard shots so no woods. The bar was good, but not very busy.
Challenging course
I felt the course was in good condition, but there are a couple of odd holes. Other than that it was well maintained and I would recommend playing there.
Best Golf Now Course Within 30 Miles of Tiverton, RI
Allendale is the best golf value within 30 miles of Tiverton, RI. The layout is competitive with many premium, exclusive course I've played. The greens are always excellent and they do cut new holes at least every other day (never shaggy cup edges). I'd estimate an 8 or 9 on the stimpmeter. There are some tees that badly need leveling. The fairways are excellent. Traps are well maintained and raked. Sand is deep. I really like playing Allendale.
Great Track!
Great track...course was in great shape. Greens are very challenging. Will be back!
Allendale Golf
My wife and I enjoyed our first golf outing at Allendale Golf Course in Dartmouth, MA. Fairways and greens were well manicured but, due to the weather, extremely wet. Cart paths also in need of repair as there were many ruts along the entire course. Pace of play was good, with a slow threesome ahead of us and a swift walking twosome behind us.
