Bay Pointe Country Club
About
Bay Pointe Country Club was known as Wareham Country Club when it first opened in 1964 up until 1988 when it underwent a major renovation, including the construction of the island green seventh hole, which is the golf course's signature. The club underwent yet another multi-million dollar renovation in 2012 when the club changed ownership. In the most recent renovation, hundreds of extraneous trees were cleared from the fairways in order to get it back into pristine condition. Although it's a seemingly short layout at just over 6,200 yards from the back tees, it actually plays much longer. The first two holes are laid across the hilliest portion of the terrain. Though you have a challenging start, the rest of the Bay Pointe golf course eases into a gentler landscape.

Excellent shape, great pace, & great course.
Greens in great shape as was entire course. No complaints.
great value
The course continues to offer a good day of golf at a value. Course conditions were good especially considering the weather. When we got took the first tee , it was looking like a 5 hour round but played in 4:05, Very nice
Played for Bay Pointe for the first time in late March. Still traces of snow on course but corse was in great shape considering the weather the last month has been. Tee times running about 15 minutes behind and pace slow first few holes, maybe due to layout with first few holes being a bit challenging and with blind tee shots or second shots. Was only place open so maybe reason course was packed.
Like to play again once the weather improves
Cold but fun
Last minute tee time at Bay Pointe. Fun round on a cold day. Good price for a decent lay out
Winter Golf Destination
My friends and I have been playing our "winter golf" at Bay Pointe for more than20 years. Our home course closes greens during the winter months, so we head to Onset for our fix. I see people there all winter from NH and other distant places. The customer service is fantastic and the beer is cold. The course is in surprisingly good condition between Dec. through March. and the green fees w/cart is extremely reasonable. So, if you are addicted to golf as we are, Bay Pointe should be your winter golf destination.
good time...
course was in great shape, greens were awesome. course starts out with an odd par 5, with a diabolical green, that really requires local knowledge. 2nd hole is a par 4 that is incredibly difficult (should play from the back tees as a par 5) so, starting out double/double is not that unusual. rest of the course is very fair and fun.
minimal pro shop, great bar.
We are in the process of designing a better start to the round on holes 1 & 2. Thank you for your comment.
Every hole a different challenge - No Starter/Marshal
Very challenging course. Each hole's challenges different. Lot's of elevation changes Course in great condition; fairways, greens and tee boxes all in great shape. Course plays a lot longer than the stated yardage.
Tight fairways, especially out of the T-box, so your drive has got to be straight. Greens were fast, but true.
Course management was lacking the day I played. Check-in staff was friendly and pleasant. When we ordered a sandwich at the turn, it was ready when we got there. However, no starter and booked visitor tee times in the middle of a club tournament, made for a frustrating 45 minute wait at the first tee as the tournament groups that started on the back 9 played through to finish the front 9. With no starter we had to ask each group who pulled up if it was part of the tournament. Finally we tee off only have to wait unto 5 minutes on almost each hole until we get to hole 10. No course marshal to keep things moving. Took me 6h and 15 min to play 18, the longest round I have ever played.
If I had payed full price for this round, I would have been very ticked, especially if I had time limitations.
I will come back as the course is fantastic, but probably wait until another GolfNow discount and mid -week.
This course is in excellent condition!
We love this course! It’s a fun and challenging course to play with an island par 3 to a few long par 5’s with dog legs! This course is in fantastic condition from the soft greens to the plush fairways and super friendly staff! So glad you’re back on Golf Now!
Beautiful!
This is one of the best courses around! From the tee boxes, to the fairways, to the greens! The greens are probably the most impressive when compared to other courses in the area. They are just pristine! I would recommend this course to anyone!
Nice layout
Course in great shape. Quick sloping greens makes putting challenging. Scenic, enjoyable track well maintained
Course is old
I expected a more modern course for the price. For 4 of us and 2 carts was $165. Wouldn't be so bad but two things really stands out as being poor quality. The carts are old gas carts. They could use an upgrade. Don't bother paying 20$ for a small basket and the driving range. The signs say you can't use T's at the driving range. So, using a driver is worthless if you can't use T's. Old mats, range is all uphill. So if you want to use the driving range, you can only use irons. Not worth it. Maybe thats why no one else was using them. With all the other courses around, don't think I'll be going back.
Always my favorite
I have been playing Bay Pointe for many years. The new owners have greatly improved the conditions. I will continue to play here in the future
This course has great greens
Tee boxes are in great shape, fairways could have been a little better but still pretty nice, greens very fast that day just the way it should be rolled true..The staff was GREAT very friendly. Would go back and take more friends...Nice job to the greens keeper.....
Thanks Dave T

Greens were in excellent condition i.Great value for the money
Disappointing day
First time playing the course. Little to no signage on course about where the next hole is. No signage at 9th on where to find the 10th, which is at the other end of parking lot. What signage was used was spray painted on the walkways. Not sure why every tee had the Blue and White tees the same.
Beer cart was very prevalent (adding to slow pace of play) but never saw a single ranger out on the course. A ranger was needed as the round was over 5 hours.
I had looked forward to playing this course and despite a few unique holes it is a course in need of many improvements. Interesting event was the coyote that walked in front of the driving range and across the 1st hole. A disappointing day. I would not return.
Ongulating greens
Nice course, pace was great late in the day today. The course may not be the longest but don't leave yourself above the pin, the greens were tough. I haven't played in a few years and the place felt like a better course than I remembered. I will be back.
Better than expected
The course plays longer and is more difficult than the scorecard yardage would suggest. There are a couple of long and difficult par 4's and some stout par 3's. The greens were in very good shape. It was a pleasant round with some good challenges as well as some birdie holes. I would play it again if in the area.
Beautiful Cape Cod setting
Have played here before with and without Golf Now. Golf Now makes this course super affordable whether alone or with a foursome. Have always met great golfers and the course has always been in great shape. The greens are "crazy challenging" Love it and will return often. Yesterday we followed a wild fox for the first two holes...
Good course for money
Enjoyable round of golf but very rude players out on course and also staff working in clubhouse. If you want to run into friendly people go somewhere else but other than the rudeness good day on the course.
It is definitely warming up finally. Hope to see you back!.
