Surprisingly Positive Experience

I played here after work one day and I was pleasantly surprised about how much I enjoyed it. Being a 9 hole course in the middle of Cambridge, I was not expecting much. I was thinking it would be very tight, but I found it to be a well designed course. The scenery is nice for being a course in the middle of a city.

Best 9 Hole Course Around!

I love this course. My friend and I play here probably 15-25 times per season, including pre-work rounds early on summer weekdays.

The layout is challenging enough to keep you coming back, and the condition has only been getting better. Compared to other moderately-priced courses, the greens at the Pond are in stellar shape, and they maintain the whole course very well.

If you're looking to get out for a quick round and have a good time, Fresh Pond is the perfect course. I'll keep coming back as long as they let me!

Enjoyable 9 holes

Great location for Cambridge/Somerville residents. I usually play once a week and find it a good challenging course. Conditions are usually good but worth checking their facebook page for announcing of the aeration week. Good 9 holes and very walkable (only one raised green).

Great Course

Great 9 hole course. Very convenient if you live in Somerville or Cambridge. It gets a bit backed up on weekends so make sure to get a tee time and carve out a bit of extra time. The grounds are well kept and the holes are just challenging enough to keep you on your toes.

Great Value Public Course in Cambridge

I play golf on this course very regularly from April/May through October, usually in the morning or evening around work. The staff are very nice and the cost for a local resident is great for 9 holes. The course conditions are pretty good on most holes but it could use some work. It's a short course but it remains challenging with some greens hidden from a direct approach. There's one elevated green, some water to contend with, and a few bunkers, which are a little hard. All in all well worth the money for a quick nine holes in the area.
