Great layout, not worth weekend rate
Great layout. Played multiple rounds over the years. It’s a great value at twilight rates, but condition of course is not on par with what you pay, especially the greens and bunkers.
Frustrating that I brought a packed lunch in a yeti cooler but since “coolers aren’t allowed” I had to empty lunch into golf bag. I understand no outside alcohol but wanting to keep fruit and snacks cool.
Player etiquette
Course was great. Fair layout. Couple quirky holes. Greens got faster as they dried out. Only issue is no one fixed divots in the fairways and ball marks on the greens. It’s not hard and it’s part of the game.
Great place would play it again tomorrow if I could.
An enjoyable golf day
I always enjoy playing this course and find it challenging enough for my skill level. The staff is helpful and supportive and the amenities are fine for my taste. The course is in the best shape I've seen it since starting to play it more frequently five years ago.
Angry at owner
This is a tour de force in taking something great and ruining it by being cheap and greedy...
The worst is i could hear an audible wail from the grasses and trees...
"i should be the most well known course in Ma, but everyone hates me cause my owner is trash"
Honestly, hand counted 15 ball no exceptions warm up bucket.... missing warmup facility (its there just grown over with weeds)... no bag drop... just forcing u to carry your bag from your car for some reason.... just no staff there at all... 10am tee time on a holiday weekday (not even weekend)...
All that said, this is one of the most enjoyable golf courses to play I've ever had the pleasure to step onto... I left angry at the owner.

Expected more for my money especially compared to prior years
Now that Waverly Oaks is $130 for weekend play I expect fair value. We have played here many times over the years and the overall course condition is not up past rounds. Waverly is a fun layout with large elevation changes especially on #9 and #17.
. The course had many areas with poor drainage and very spongy turf. There was light rain early that morning but not enough to cause the spongy fairways. The sand was a very course grain with small stones particularly on the back nine. The cart paths are a mess and has had so much erosion that there are holes that will jolt your spine if your not prepared.
The staff is friendly and efficient. The food at the bar was excellent. Waverly Oaks is not in my plans for a return in 2023.
A great late afternoon round
Another great round at Waverly. The course is in good shape, though the greens were fast. The staff is always friendly. The only issue was that is backed up towards the end of the round -- they could use a ranger to keep the pace moving.
I love the layout but not a good value based on the condition. Divots not repaired, tee boxes tough shape and greens slow.
Hope they get the course in better shape or lower the price ' one or the other
