I love the layout but not a good value based on the condition. Divots not repaired, tee boxes tough shape and greens slow.
Hope they get the course in better shape or lower the price ' one or the other
Bummer
Greens had been aerated & were very bumpy & slow. The fairways were full of unfixed divots everywhere. And the pace of play was ridiculous, we waited on every shot all day, there were rangers out there, but it did not speed up the pace at all.
I typically really enjoy playing at Waverly, but today was not, one of those days.
Waverley oaks
Grounds crew doing some work on the course right now. It’ll look great once complete. This is a fun challenging course. Back to back post 5’s and challenging park 3’s on 8 and 17. 13th hole has a two tiered greens that is a menace. Very fun tho. Staff is nice and respectful. Beautiful club house. There are weddings there every Friday and Saturday which restricts your access to main bar and patio overlooking 18. There is however a small bar in basement clubhouse without views of course and seems to be barely used.
Great Course
Great course and looks like it'll be getting even better. Many improvements being made on several holes
We played early in the season and course hasn't had a chance to mature from the winter, but still had a great day.
One of my favorite layouts
I've been playing the course since it opened. I miss those conditions. But after a few changes of ownership and bankruptcies, the course isn't as pristine as it once was, but it is decent early season shape now. Greens were quick and rolled well. They're doing some work to the bunkers on 8 and 17, which are signature holes. It's nice to see the work being put into the course. Great layout, with some helpful mounding and contours to help slightly stray shots back onto the fairways and greens. This place has always been a favorite of mine and I'm grateful for the Golfnow hot deals.
A Joy To Play
I always look forward to playing this course. The course is under going some work , cart paths and water lines as well as bunkers being dug up on a few holes but overall the coursed played good , just need to keep in play of course.
Hilly course
I had heard Waverly Oaks was hilly but a few holes were shocking… the 17th green is 4 stories up and over 200 yards away. With no bailout in front… the green side bunker is 2 stories below the green!
Early spring round was a great bargain, with good conditions.
No longer a lob wedge below Pine Hills - Disappointing
The staff as always was welcoming, outgoing and professional. First class.
The course is still a great and fun layout to play but municipals are in better shape. Cart paths will give you a cranky back by the end of the front 9- they are awful! Bare spots in fairways, bumpy greens, etc.
It is not worth the $130 greens fee on the weekend. Maybe a $75-80 course at this point.
