The Bedrock Golf Course blonde staff member is very nice.
The Bedrock Golf Course blonde staff member is very nice.
The Bedrock Golf Course blonde staff member is very nice. As soon as I went and approached the pro-shop desk, she saw the registration on my phone, she consulted with the owner’s wife, and she said that I can go and play when I’m ready.
That is exactly what you want a staff member to show: respect, courtesy, acknowledgment. I played a nice round. I had lunch after my round. I went home.
I would only recommend playing this course when the blonde staff member works there.
Best par 3’s
Course was in fine shape. Totally enjoy their green complexes with mounds and undulations. Two of the best par 3’s in the state, both carries over water. Friendliest lady at the bar counter inside.

Bedrock golf course is a small golf course with narrow fairways, small greens, and tight lies. Bedrock golf course as the name indicates was built on a rocky terrain; hence, there are a lot of rocks on the ground. The fairways are very narrow. There is a lot of areas where the ball goes out-of-bound. Instead of out-of-bounds the local USGA rule is for red stakes. Even if your ball is in a fairway the lie make be a tight-lie. I have asked the owner of Bedrock to do more work in improving the conditions of the fairways. Three should be a clear and distinctive advantage for the ball to be in the fairway. There are certain USGA requirements for designing the fairways which I believe this golf course falls short for maybe 20-30 percent of the fairways.
The greens are small. The green size of this golf course is perhaps half or one third of what the typical green size should be.
There are a lot of penalty areas. But because the tee boxes are in absolutely horrible conditions, I would desperately recommend to owner to fix the tee boxes.
This golf course is in desperate need of restoration, renovation, and improvement.
One of the staff members is absolutely annoying. Every time I go there, she says that I need to call before making my tee-time reservations. I reserve my tee-time @ 10 PM in the evening. There is no body in the golf course @ that time. The golf course has made a contract with GolfNow.com. They staff members should live up to the terms and conditions of the contract & should be respectful to the golfnow.com costumers.
This golf course needs more funding, more golfers, & need reviews on how to do a better job & fix their golf course.
I would recommend from golfnow.com to send local architects and propose a renovation, restoration, and improvements plan to the owner of this golf course.
The Iron Practice
I just created a new practice called the iron only practice named after Jack Nicklaus since Jack loved playing his irons. I think that Bedrock golf club fits perfectly this kind of practice.
Since I hit my driving iron about 210-230 yards, I can reach most of the greens in regulation with another iron. All the PAR 5s and 3s are no problem at all. It is only two PAR 4s, Hole 3 and 9 that need a long iron on the approach shot.
I think also Bedrock offer an opportunity to practice the short game. The greens are in good shape.
There is water along the golf course. It is really quiet and it is really nice.
Best value in Central Mass
Fun course, friendly staff, greens are always in amazing shape. I played solo and the only negative is sometimes groups don't understand letting faster players play thru.
Place sucks. Horrible customer service
Lady that works in the pro shop is a miserable old woman. I book my tee time on golf now and she acts like it’s this big deal that she doesn’t know how to deal with. She clearly isn’t up to date on technology and should take the course off of golf now as she doesn’t know how to plan anything more than paper and pen tee times. I was supposed to start my round at 12 and didn’t go out until 12:40. Not to mention she was extremely rude. She made me wait while she made lunch and when I finally got the tee box she told me that I “better hurry up”. Never been spoken to so disrespectfully at a golf course. Figure it out.
Bedrock
Pros. The greens. Pace of play. Quiet. The two par 3s
Cons: mundane layout
Check in issues every time!
I like the course. It’s not fancy but it’s challenging and in good shape this year with all the rain. I enjoy walking and it’s really cheap. My issue is every time I book through a tee time app I’m told that I can’t play and the tee time shouldn’t have been available. They always get me out after making me feel as if I did something wrong. It’s happened all four times and is the sole cause of my poor starts to the round.
Great time for a new golfer
New to the sport, this was a great course. Staff was amazingly friendly and supportive.
Great area, really nice 9 hole course!
Great local course
The course is pretty straight course tucked in by trees on both sides for every hole. The par 3's are fun and if you have a driver and hit straight, this could be a good course to use it and have a little fun.
There are parts of the cart path after the 3rd hole that are a bit treacherous so make good choices from then on. The saff that run the place are very helpful.
Fun little course
Friendliest staff you will ever meet! Course was in decent shape greens in excellent shape and fast. Will be back!
Don't use golfnow
I guess we got lucky. After reserving our tee time on golfnow, we were informed at the course that we were lucky they were letting us play. Seems that confusion between golfnow and the course continues. The course doesn't want to give up one tee time on the weekends, so they book all the tee times, knowing that golf now will also be booking one. We arrived for our tee time as a league was making the turn (9 hole course). The woman in the pro shop couldn't tell us how many groups would be coming through before we could tee off. And, oh yeah, we might not be able to play more than 9 holes, because the afternoon was booked. No apologies for the confusion. Quite the contrary. She seemed very proud of the fact that in the past, when this happened, she just sent the people away. Great service. I guess they make enough servicing the locals.
