Townsend Ridge Country Club

This course is fairly short, with very tight fairways and tee boxes. Accuracy with your shots is key.
Bring several spare golf balls, you will need them., if you are not in the fairway the ball is lost.
Tee boxes can use some work, fairways are ok, greens could be better (some are beatup).
Normally I like challenging courses, however this one can make for a frustrating day.

I had never played here before, I live in NH about a half hour away and someone had mentioned this course was nice so I have it a shot. We had beautiful weather low humidity , about 80 with a good breeze to make it challenging .

The greens are great. Well maintained and a true roll . Very fast and you have to plan your approach shots so as to not blow it over them . Very target golf course. I hit a long ball and I used driver on only several holes , and should have used it only 2 times in hindsight . It was a lot of 4 irons for me , it's very narrow you can't be aggressive or you get in trouble fast.

The Teeboxes were somewhat bad except ones that were bathed in sun, fairways were pretty nice low cut

Very nice layout , a lot of different holes, dog legs , up hill down hill , water , woods, no long par 3s at least from the whites. Short par 5s under 500 yards both of them , but they are challenging , lots of blind shots off the tee, I was lucky to have my gps to help me it helped
I am gonna play this again in the future

Course is really very nice,the feel of a private club.great holes some very tight so keep your drive strait or pay the price.love the double green 9&18. 18 is a nice easy par 4 so you should leave on a good note!!

Tee need to be made larger will never hold grass. need to fix water runoff on some holes. Fairways very too tight.

Great course . I took three friends. The golf course was in great shape. The staff were attentive and friendly. Just remember to bring bug spray.

For someone who typically shoots in the high 80's, I found this course to be pretty challenging. There are a few holes that were fun to play (9 and 18 stand out), but overall its a very narrow course and requires a lot of accuracy. The greens were slower than I expected for a hot and dry day. The flip side was there was not a lot of room around the holes, one bounce long or left/right of the green and there was a good chance you lost a ball. It will help to get a yardage book or have GPS as there are lots of blind shots and hazards to carry. The narrow holes wouldn't be so bad if the woods weren't so thick, A good amount of holes aren't parallel to each other. Overall, if you like playing target golf and keeping the driver in the bag, this is a good course (especially for the money). However if you want to play something a bit more forgiving, you're probably better off at another course. Last bit of advice, don't let the length fool you, its a short course and still very difficult from the whites. Don't play the Blue tees just to add some length to the day.

Enjoyed a great round: ace of play was 4hrs, course was well maintained and staff was friendly. Will be back soon.

GREAT CHALLENGING COURSE,SOME TIGHT FAIRWAYS BUT FAIR COURSE , WELL MAINTAINED GROUNDS AWSOME COURSE

we had a lot of rain leading up to my round, but some/most fairways had trouble shedding surface water....heavy, heavy track but great course

played with a group of friends. Had a great time on the course. Staff very friendly and accomadating to our needs due to the hot weather.

Walked in the clubhouse hr early and got to go out by myself with cart. Played 18 in 3 hrs 10 min. Tee boxes and green were in great shape, some fairways needed attention. Very challenging coure with narrow fairways. Drivng the ball a premium here, bring an extra sleave of balls. First time playing here, will definitely be back.

I had a great time here. This course never let up, I'm sure I used every club in my bag. If you are accurate off the tee, scoring chances will come in bunches. There are a lot of elevated greens that are relatively flat that ran smooth and true. I will definitely be coming back.

I had a deal for $21 for 18 and a cart and hit a bucket before for $6! I don't care what the course is, you can't beat a deal like that but the course was actually very nice. Excellent greens and nice flat tee boxes which for me are maybe the most important things. Overall the course was in great condition but was very tight and has the potential for a lot of lost balls. Challenging course definitely puts a premium on hitting fairways, if you have trouble off the tee its going to be a loooong day. Course is on the shorter side but the fairways are so narrow that its not an easy course by any means. Anything off the fairway here is basically a lost ball. Overall though I'd play here again it was worth the hour drive for.

I found this course to be chalenging @ times and would probably play it a little different the second time. Greens were in good shape but varied in speed. Fairways were recently treated and in pretty good shape. I would have liked to seen Senior tees.

Every hole has a unique course layout which needs a different course manegement.

Townsend is a good course that is in consistently good condition. It is a real value compared to area courses. The staff is cordial and friendly, and the facilities complete.

For this early in the season the course is in very good condition. The layout is very nice. I always enjoy playing this course.
