Pembroke, golf, and country club
I’m visiting from Florida but I played Pembroke maybe 10 years ago it’s not what I remember. It’s very shabby it’s dire need of cart path repair and it was cart path only!!! I hope my poor back survives.Very disappointing.
Great layout
Love the layout of this course. You can use every club in your bag and it’s forgiving enough on most holes to offer a chance to hit the driver. The staff were super friendly, especially the starter.
The one negative is that many of the greens were pockmarked with dozens of ball marks. It’s as if no one knows how to fix a ball mark. I know that’s not true, though, because 18 was nearly perfect - probably due to the fact that it’s right in front of the clubhouse. Maybe the club needs to post signs about fixing ball marks and/or have the starter remind people?
Not really worth it anymore
The course has a nice layout but that’s about it at this point. Cart path only for the past two years and for no apparent reason, fairways and green have patches on like 1/4 of them. The grounds keepers are always mowing the grass in the middle of the day, during your round!! Sprinklers turn on randomly, soaking the greens right before you putt! I can go on and on but i would advise you don’t play here unless it’s for a hot deal tee time.
buildings going to waste , sprinkler system has damaged some areas. money not going back into course well
Course is in rough shape
I have been playing this course for years and have noticed the past year or so the course conditions have deteriorated. All the greens are diseased and the fairways full of un-repaired divots. Its a shame that they still charge their regular greens fees knowing that the course is in bad shape.
Cart path only/ conditions/price are just awful
Drove all the way from Boston to be told cart path only on a 90 degree day. This should be advertised as it is a year round rule the starter told me. No discount for cart path only. Very expensive considering fairways and greens were in horrible conditions. No wonder the place was empty during the day. They really need to reevaluate the price and cart path only rule. It doesn’t make any sense at all why the entire course is cart path only for that price and those conditions. Will never be back.
Quick pace
Wednesday must be the best day to play. Had a noon tee time and was done at 325.
parched
Hot day lack of water or beverages on the course. Only soda machine did not work , 1 water bubbler for 18 hours. course was both dried out and wet at the same time. the fairways were lacking grass. This course has fallen on hard times. back tee boxes not even cut ot be used. looked like an over played public city course. disappointing for 89.00
Good course, not great. $49 with cart is a bargain
I think allowing carts on the path only keeps the fairways in good shape. That's the good news. Also some of the greens are very green and seem soft. They roll well. The bad news is that there are bare spots in certain fairways and uncertain greens for example the 10th green. Also the distance on the scorecard for the 10th hole has to be wrong by at least 50 yards.
Hot. Deal on golf now is worthwhile. Wouldn't pay full rate on weekend. This course was in better shape when I was a kid. They used to host the Plymouth county Jr championship here. The good news is that it looks like their doing a lot of work
Cart Path Only
Even though it was 86 and sunny, we were restricted to the cart path only. This didn’t appear to be a one day situation as there were ropes and signs on almost every hole.
Not the best of shape.
While the course is typically in decent shape, the greens were beat up and overall wasn’t in the best condition. For the price I would think it would have been in better shape. It was disappointing to see. The course is fun and has some challenging holes to it though. Plus, it’s cart path only on the whole course so it does make the round longer.
Pembroke Country Club
Fairways and tee boxes were in beautiful shape. Greens seemed a bit rough. Very friendly staff!.
Not great anymore
Greens in poor shape. Must pay for cart whether you walk or ride. No amenities, no soap in bathrooms, no snack cart, really no food at all. Course is a great layout and was once a very nice track, but seems as if very little effort has gone into improving on or off course conditions.
