Great local course

I live in the area and usually golf Tyler 2-3 times per season. The green fees are always cheap and the super friendly staff make it well worth the trip out. Campground members frequent the course so it isn't uncommon to find a sleeveless person somewhere during your round. Don't expect collared shirts and kakis to be the norm and you won't find a starter anywhere.

Course is average in terms of difficulty and condition. I still find it a nice place to get a quick practice 9 in after work on a weekday. I've never played on the weekend.

Definitely one of the lowest cost options but certainly not the lowest quality in the area.

$12 for 9 w/cart is worth giving this place a shot.

Waste of time and money

I've been playing golf for over 40 years. This may be the worst golf course, ever. And they don't take cash. Seriously.

Tyler Creek

Front nine short and rather easy. Back nine much longer and challenging. For the most part, the greens were very small but in pretty good shape. People who worked at course were very friendly.

Good value on GolfNow.

Can get some great prices. Back 9 is pretty rough condition. Front is much better and fun to play. Great clubhouse!

Two different nines

The first 9 is basic golf with small greens. The second is very nice more like and upscale golf course. The holes are layed out well with two to three times the room as the front.

Great country course

Tyler Creek is one of my favorite courses. The front nine is the best in my opinion, good spread of different pars. The back nine is quite a bit longer with some challenging holes. I'll always golf at TC

Return to Tyler Creek

It had been at least 5 years since I had played Tyler Creek and was I surprised; the course was in great shape and the club house was redone. I found the course to be well maintained, better than years past. The fairways played well while several of the greens had some bad spots the overall care was great. I was please to see some changes on the back 9 and enjoyed the back 9 much harder than remembered.

decent layout, needs work.

Smallest greens have ever played in my life, I have been golfing for 30 yrs. There are very few flat lies on any of the fairways. The fairways are your basic backyard grass that is mowed shorter than the primary rough Tee-boxes have little to no grass. Great course if you want to teach a first-timer or just want to play a round of golf right from your campsite. The overall area is nice though.

A good mix

Course was in good shape for the middle of April after a long winter. Golfed as a twosome and moved right along on the front nine after a five some let us pass on the second hole. The back nine was a different story. The foursome we got behind on hole ten would not let us pass. The three some ahead of them was three holes ahead of them by hole 11. We waited every shot and had four groups right on our tails. No golf etiquite and no ranger. Other than that it was nice

A fun course!

The course was in great shape, and enough of a challenge to make it interesting. The only thing I would recommend is signage to indicate where the next hole is - especially on the front nine. We played very quickly, as the course was wide open, but spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out where the next hole was!

Open course. Very forgiving.

Nice Course. Back nine tee boxes were being redone. Temporary tee boxes were horrible. Very open course. Good value for the $17 for 18 and a cart i payed.

nice course for the price... greens in very good shape.

Really like the layout of the back 9 (newer feel). A really good value for the money and a somewhat short 25 minute drive from my house. Greens were in very good condition, but tee-boxes were in very poor condition. Clubhouse staff very friendly.

Nice course

The place was almost empty on the Monday afternoon. Some of the greens need some work, otherwise the course looks great.

Not that hard of a course, hard to lose a ball unless you hit the creek.

Great course and great value!

This course had some of the best maintained greens I have played on recently. It is a fairly easy course but still very fun to play. I would definitely play here again. Anyone who is looking for a relaxed, fun course with great greens and great value go here! I am definitely going back.
