Squirrel Run Country Club
About
Squirrel Run Golf Club offers some of the most scenic golf on the South Shore of Boston. The course is an executive layout that is gentle enough for beginners and even juniors to tackle with confidence. There are no par 5s on the golf course, most of the holes are under 140 yards. Even though you may not need distance, a strong short game will take you far on this course. Rough borders the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers framing the greensides. Squirrel Run Golf Club is a very forgiving golf course overall and it may not be the most formidable test but there are a few tricky holes, like the par-3 13th. This is the golf course's signature hole that plays from an elevated tee over water to a green that slopes from back to front, and if that wasn't enough, the entire hole is at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

No squirrels
Even with the winterized greens conditions are great. I have played other courses when any put is impossible but at Squirrel Run greens were rolled nice and flat.
Love this course, a few questions.
First off, this course is one of my favorites and always a great time. I live very close by and play here maybe 6 or 7 times a year. Hole 13 is obviously my favorite, but there are many excellent, albeit short, par 3 holes. I always wondered why you shortened hole 14. I can remember a time when the tee box was right up next to tee 3. I know my friends and I would prefer the longer hole there. Maybe just move the Blues back there IDK. It's a shame not to use all that space behind tee box 3! My only other issue is some of the tee boxes get so jacked up. I know it's hard to avoid that. But could the tee spots could be better positions at times so that during setup I'm not standing all over divots? Overall it's a great course, keep up the good work! See you next year!
Always a pleasure
A very pleasant few hours to work on your short game on a well kept course.
Practice your shirt game
Nice course. Well maintained
Back 9 easier than front 9
Playing this par three golf course was so much fun. My friend and I are just getting back into golf, and the course was interesting. It had bunkers, trees, water and some hills to make it challenging. I really enjoyed the day!
I recommend it for any level player.
Squirrel Run is a fun course with mostly Pat 3 holes and a few par 4 holes.
excellent conditions on par with private courses, fast greens highly recommend for an executive course
Squirrel Run
Nice layout for a short course. Everything was in good shape and the course is well marked. Close quarters yon some holes, but it worked out fine. Fun day.
Great Value for Executive Course
I really like Squirrel Run. Nice executive course with a few par 4 holes that's friendly for beginners and good for others who want to focus on their short game. Course condition is very good and well kept. Off-course amenities have been limited since COVID, but they do open a small bar with snacks during busy times. Pace of play moves along well, even on weekends.
Good for short game
Perfect place to play for rehab from injury..excellent condition and service.
Front 9 is excellent, but the back nine offers little variety.
Overall,,a very good and well managed short course.
