Excellent value and pleasant surprise!
The Hawk Hollow Course is every bit as challenging as the sister course Eagle Eye. The course layout requires good shoots with some forgiveness. The greens are receptive and putt and roll excellently. Definitely give this course s try.
Big E
ONE OF THE BEST COUSES IN LANSING MICHIGAN. The Staff was professional and fulfilled our need. Green had at least 4.9 speed, nice for soft touch putters. Overall had a great time.
Quality course
First class operations in Lansing. Course is in great shape considering all the rain we have had.
Hawk Hollow on par with Eagle Eye next door
I always assumed that Eagle Eye was the best golf facility in the Lansing area, based on all the reviews and state rankings by major magazines I'd seen. My first visit to Hawk Hollow threw that notion into the bunker. Hawk Hollow and Eagle Eye are more like equals. Hawk Hollow's greens were slower than most of the courses I'd played all week throughout Michigan on a tour at the end of June, and its rough was so thick it looked like the maintenance crew skipped a mowing cycle, but the routing and serenity of the holes I played (nos. 1-18) were outstanding. There are some serious risk-reward shots that make the day fun, even when you fail (like I did at the 200-yard carry off the ninth tee).
Great but slow
Everything about Hawk is great but the pace of play is pathetic. We had 4 groups on one hole. What's even more sad is they have starters and rangers but we never saw either, not once did a ranger come around to tell the slow group to hurry up. Of course when we finished a ranger was sitting by the bag rack on a cart. It sucks because I think Hawk is better than Eagle and one of the best courses in the area. Too bad pace of play ruins the experience.
Hawk Hollow new favorite course
Love the view, the area, gorgeous course! Absolutely the best maintained course around the area. I cant say enough good things about the course
Fun course, playable and very pretty.
Booked on line for a great deal especially for quality of course. Staff was very friendly and personable. Very fun course to play.
Hawk Hollow
Great course, excellent service. Greens needed a bit of repairing.
Excellent Course
The course is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the weather was good. We played the front and middle 9 and it proved to be a moderately challenging course.
Very nice course.
A well maintained, fun, and challenging course. Very helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyable round of golf.
Always a great course
I don't get to hawk hallow often but it's often a treat to play. Pace of play is usually pretty good. I like the hole design of most the course.
Great shape for this early in the season!
Excellent course and excellent price through Golf Now. Fairways and greens in great shape for early April, but always in good shape when I've played here. Hope to play it again soon.
Snobby golf
This place and eagle eye across from it are quite snobby. Meaning they charge alot to play. Thanks to golf now at least you can play in November for a fair rate. Play them both sometime but there are a lot of other choices in the area.
Always enjoyable.......can't wait to play it again.
Lucky to have such great courses so close to home.
Great time
Thought the course was in excellent shape. Difficult course for me but a lot of fun. Shot a 92. Not great, but I've had worse !
Best course in the area
Beautiful golf course. The fairways and greens are awesome.
majestic views
This course has as much up north beauty and feel as any I've driven 2 or more hours to play right here in Lansing. I always enjoy my experience as the beverage and food is reasonably priced and the staff makes me feel welcomed.
Great course but with disappointment
I selected a afternoon tee time (2:15) which they had quite a few from 2:00 thru 3:30 thru GolfNow. When we arrived around 1:45 they said we could tee off right away but we had to play 1 thru 9 and then make the turn to hole 19 (27 holes) . When we got to hole 7 we had a marshal come up to us and say you better start hurrying up leagues are starting in 15 minutes at that point I was playing pretty well, but you know what happens when you start to rush your game your game starts to go south and that's what happened. We made the turn to hole 19 and things got worst this 9 holes (19 thru 27) is very very difficult and when the golf course tells you too hurry you don't stand a chance to play well. I got very irritated with my game and the course and GolfNow for not telling us their course would be filled up with leagues, but then we had a different marshal come by and I explained to him how I felt about rushing my round and not being told about the leagues play he was very understanding and said if you like to play additional holes on us you can tee off number 10. He said that was his favorite 9 holes to play and guess what he was right 10 thru 18 are some of the pretties holes at Hawk Hollow a must to play, but don't trust GolNow to tell you anything other than we have a tee times available. Live and learn (the hard way) and call the course before heading out and ask if they have leagues that night you may want to think about playing somewhere else.
Enjoyable Round
My husband & I really enjoyed Hawk's Hollow. It is a very scenic course and conditions were very good. Greens were a little slow.
Wow 4.9 green speed. Are you sure you weren't putting on the tees.
