Just not a good course.
Pebblewood is a course that I unfortunately play often because it is the closest and least expensive course near me. The course is never maintained well and the staff really does not care about having your business at all. They will water the course at 6:00 in the evening, even though people are just teeing off. Once it starts to become dark, flags are replaced with yellow painted broom sticks. The greens are the SLOWEST greens you will ever find and NEVER role true. The course is not "set up" for any kind of player, except the older golfers that hit it 80 yards and dead straight. There are maybe two or three legitimate golf holes on the whole course. The par of 68 does not even conform to the USGA standards of a tournament-worthy golf course (minimum par of 70). It's like the designer did not know if he wanted to make a par 3 course or a real course so he created the latter. I would not recommend Pebblewood to any one considers themselves an active golfer, however, it is best for those that play once a year or can not drive the ball longer than 100 yards.
Short course that is a lot of fun
- Starts with a challenging long par
- The front also has a fun risk/reward par 5 on which you have to go over water twice
- The back has a reachable par 4 and ends in two memorable finishing holes
- The front also has a hole designed for the slicer!
- Number 17 is my favorite, with water and bunkers all along the right side, you have to hit an accurate shot to a tight fairway, then again over water to a small, slanted, elevated green surrounded by bunkers. You drive through a picturesque covered bridge to approach the green and try your darndest to get a par!
I've been able to get around in less than 3 hours before – of course depending on how full the schedule is. Wednesdays they have leagues but they can still get you in by 8:30 or 9am. This is a fun little course for the money, with challenging par 3s, but still a lot for the long hitter.
Great course for a quick 18.
This is a short course that is great for beginners or those that want a quick 9 or 18 holes. Not much trouble to be found but if the wind is blowing off the lake it can be a little testy. Played it with my 5 year old daughter as a rider and the staff could not have been nicer to her. Small greens but inconsistent.
A great course that I like to play often.
Great course and challenging. The course was well maintained and had a variety of layouts (water, trees, hills, sand traps, etc.).
Nice course for the money
Nice course.Fairways were in good shape. The green speeds were a little inconsistent, but in very good shape other wise. Over all a fun day!!!
