Great Course, Challenging
Course condition was ok, Tee boxes good, fairways in spots need attention, greens for the most part are good, few need work around them. Can't beat the price. Overall I would keep playing there.
Nice Day
Course was in good shape. The greens were soft so the ball held on to the greens. Pace of play was good. Nobody behind us so we took our time. Still four people played under 4 hours.
Vacation Golf!
Amazing staff that was very friendly. Great prices for 18 holes along with items in the Pro Shop! Would go back and play this course again!
Michigan
Great little course, the trees and fairways were great.I hope to play again soon.
Nice short course, but extremely slow play on the front 9
First time playing this course. The staff were friendly and the course was in good shape (other than the last 4 holes that were closed for green aeration). However, pace of play was a real problem on the front 9. I guess this course is really popular with seniors and we had 2 groups of them in front of us. It took us about 2.5 hours to play the front nine. Fortunately, the "seniors" only played 9 and we were able to play the back nine in a little over an hour. I had to replay 4 holes on the back to make up for the last 4 that were closed, but that was ok.
Nice little course, but no frills
The course itself is really quite nice. Medium speed greens, overall everything was well kept. There is a little restaurant next door where you can grab drinks, brews, and brats at the turn. The ladies there were very friendly.
The same can’t be said for the check-in experience. It really seemed like we were a bother to the guy at the front desk, both when arriving to check in and when returning the cart key. He definitely seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but behind the counter dealing with people. Unfortunately that will be our takeaway from the experience, so we won’t be returning.
Your mileage might vary, so it might be worth a try for a mid-priced round if you’re in the area.
Short course with perfect greens
Pebblewood might have the best conditioned greens I’ve played on in a long time, and they were nearly perfect. They were all lush, green without ball marks and rolled great, which was surprising for an inexpensive course. The greens keeper deserves a raise! The course is a little on the short side and played to a par 68 with just two par fives, both on the back nine.
Not much to look at when you check in and it appears like the structure has been there quite a while. However, the older gentleman who checked us in could not have been more helpful and was happy to see us.
Course is very flat with hardly any elevation changes. Decent number of small lakes on the property but the water really only comes into play on a few holes. The routing was hard to follow as we got lost twice trying to find the next hole.
For the price and greens conditions, it would be hard to do a lot better than Pebblewood. I’m sure for really good players, it might be a pretty boring layout but we had a great time on it. Would love to play it again the next time I’m in the area!
