Wild Laurel Golf Course

Played here for years! Poorest shape ive ever seen it. No grass on fairways. Greens are exceptsble. Tee box poor shape. A big decline! Was improving a couple of years ago! New owners????

The greens were in great condition. We are just getting out of winter golf. The ground is still too soft for taking divots but in a month the fairways should be perfect. I really like the layout of the course. I look forward to golfing here again.

Downed trees from a wind storm on the course, sticks on the fairways from it. Missing grass spots on the greens, dirt fairways in places... Overall, I had fun. It's a pretty area and I got to see a couple of wild turkeys on one of the holes.

Good- Beautiful views, nice course layout, adequate clubhouse. Sandtraps nice
Bad- Greens were decent if you overlook the dead spots and fungus.
Ugly- Fairways were sparse weedfilled couldn't tell where Fairways ended and rough began. Tee boxes were horrible, Unlevel turain sparse grass. This course looks to have been beautiful at one time and then left to poor management and little to non existing maintenance. Still was a better day than being at work.

I always love Wild Laurel.. such beautiful views while playing golf here. During this time of year after a brutal winter in Townsend the fairways cannot be judged but they’re keeping up the greens. Some things they can control and others they can’t. If you want to see this course in Al of its glory check it out in the summer. Beautiful! Wild laurel has always had a place in my heart. The beauty, the serenity, course layout, bar staff and the staff.

I realize it’s February and courses in area are rough but I can’t imagine this course being “grown in” or manicured come warm season. Missing all types of grass in large numerous areas.

Perfect time of year, course was in good condition. Very enjoyable. Will definitely come back.

This has been one of our favorite courses in the area. Beautiful clubhouse with a little restaurant, a great food trailer at the turn, and a drink cart circling. The course conditions have been awesome in the past. We have seen some more rough edges around the fairways, crabgrass on the tee boxes and bad spots on the greens. We hope they get these improved.

This course has a nice layout and feel but the fairways are poor and some issues on their greens. would not recommend for a good golf experience.

Tee boxes and fairways in poor condition. Greens passable. Great layout but hard to tell fairway from rough. Friendly staff, nice bar.

Great course for the money. Don’t expect Augusta and you will be fine. A shot in the rough was definitely a disadvantage. Challenging course knowing that. Take plenty of balls.
