Fun Track
This has always been one of my favorite courses in the Flint area. I was a member here for quite some time until school and work took me away from the area. The layout is great, you can play safe or aggressive and still score. I would say it's a decent course for beginners with multiple sets of tees.
The only downside is that they stopped aerating the greens a few years ago making them hard as cement. If you land an approach shot on the green, it will bounce 20-30' in the air and fly off the back of the green. Virtually no chance at holding an approach shot.
The course is pretty and its fun to play so get out there and enjoy a round. Pay no attention to whoever is in the proshop, as they are never the cheeriest people in the world.
Unreasonable
I booked through GolfNow and was punished. The course fee is 45$. I payed 38$ on GolfNow. They tried to make me ride in a cart with a stranger. I understand that this is the “rule” but I’ve never been asked to actually ride with someone. The ridiculous people working there told me that I paid for half a cart. I then offered to pay an additional 10$ for my own cart. “No”. I’m sorry, but that is just unreasonable. The course was NOT busy as it was 45 degrees. I left without playing and I paid 7$ less than if I had just walked in. What a joke. I’ll never go back, and I will forever go out of my way to explain to golfers about how poorly this business is being run.
Pleasently Surprised
A buddy and I wanted to get in an early season round. We found this gem. Neither of us played this course before but we were surprised at the course. Even for it being so early in the season the course was in great shape and the green were surprisingly fast. We cannot wait to come back.
Spring golf
Had a nice day in March to try a course for the first time.
A little to many blind shots, but maybe after playing a few time it wouldn't be so bad.
Did a golf now discount ( $55) for 2 of us for 18 holes, not bad.
March and muddy
Great to play in March in Michigan. First time playing Brookwood and there are a lot of blind shots dog legs.
I'm interested in going back during the summer months when the greens have been cut and the rakes are in the traps.
Golf w Mom !
This track is really excellent for the ladies. This was my first visit so I’m excited to play it again, you can get yourself in trouble if you don’t know where to hit the ball. Mom and I had a great day - 65 degrees & Sunny in early March and we are golfing : ) Booked 18 on GolfNow only got 15 holes in, front 9 was super slow hopefully it was just BC it was a light staff early spring blessing no one expects ! All and ALL, we had fun and will be back -
Needs work
The course needs some work and pace of play can be brutal. Driving range is just a mess. I’m not sure if they actually mow the course. Doesn’t seem like it. You’ll lose balls just off the fairway.
its good
for the price its the best in the area, greens were nice
Pace
The pace was so slow on the back nine that five pairings were on one hole. I called the ranger they came out and did nothing. I wound up skipping the last hole because the last hole had four teams waiting to play. If you're going to play the course do not play it on a weekend.
Exceded expectations
First time playing here. Wasn't sure what expect for a city course but the course conditions were very good. The layout is somewhat challenging but not crazy. Struggled on a few holes knowing what to hit off the tees or where to aim on a couple blind tee shots because of not playing the course before. But not unusual for 1st time out. Will definitely play again
Over half of the holes they had sprinklers going on the fairways. At times it fell as though you were on an obstacle course having to run out there hit your ball and run away before you get soaked.
Great Value
Pace of play was outstanding. Great condition. Great Value!
Wonderful
This course is a wonderful course at a good value. It has become my go to course for when I want to get 18 in without traveling too far. Definitely worth a 30 min drive.
Always tough
Very gracious staff always love going here track always beats me up but I love the challenge and the layout
