Fun Layout!
Likely the best Muni course in the state of Michigan. Very fun topography. Will play again many times
Good course.
First playing Leslie Park and it was decent course; challenging greens. For experienced golfers I'd definitely play the blue tees....
Staff needs to match the Course
This course was a nice surprise. We did not know that there was course in Southeast Michigan with some elevation changes like up north. Course conditions were great and hole design was challenging.
We had an awful experience at the turn. Waited over 10 minutes just to buy a few Powerades and a hot dog. Two people working. One was limited to serving hot dogs didn't say hi and turned his back on us even though we were just across the counter.
The other guy was busy on the computer and answering the phone just to ask us after 5 minutes "What do you want?" If the course was not a great find we would not comeback at due to this poor customer service.
Best municipal course I've ever played!
Haven't played Leslie in years; my mistake! I love this course.
Good Value
Midday round was great. It's been dry this year but greens especially were in good shape. Fair course. The back is a little tighter with still rewards for well played shots.
Leslie Park
Great Muni. Very difficult greens to read. Every putt seems influenced by the river that runs through the back nine. Love playing here. Very fair off the tee and fairways and greens in good shape.

This course is layed out with interesting challenges and greens.
The course has basic amenities. Remember to get a scorecard at check-in. The carts are not stocked with a card. There will be plenty of hill play, and undulating greens. The course provides a good value for the challenge and playability you receive.
amazing course for the money
the course is fair, the course has a lot of different types of holes. I thought it was in pretty good shape for a muni course. The best part is the price though, you really cant beat it for this kind of quality and challenge.
best municipal list
For a muni, this course is a gem. I can see why it made the top municipal list across all 50 states. We played on a Sunday morning and were done in under 4 hours. There are a couple of holes where the layout causes slow play
Great course
Course layout and conditions were excellent. Very crowded m only problem was1 person working the register. Had 2 groups checking in and groups making the turn. Way too slow.
Nice course
We picked a great day to play a very nice course. Great spring golf in Michigan.
Good Round
The greens can be difficult to read. The ranger did a great job asking a foursome to allow us to play through.
Nice course will play again
Nice course and enjoyed the day. Will try again now that have seen the layout. Unfortunately, I played as a single and got paired up with some new golfers which did a good job of keeping pace after some initial guidance from rangers and playing partners. Ended up spending too much time on front nice focusing on helping them keep up the pace of play and not enough on my game. Paired up with a nice three some on the back and ended up enjoying the back nice and playing better. Will go back with friends and see if I can improve on last score. Greens are nice as well as fairways/greens. Only has golf net to warm up..
Nice course if you have all day to play
Nice course and I'd love to play it again, but not when they overbook it the way it was Saturday. We had to leave after the 15th hole because it had been more than 5.5 hours, and we had a tee time at another course for that afternoon that was a half hour drive. The first 15 holes were nice, though. I think I heard someone in the pro shop say they book their tee times 4 minutes apart, which is unacceptable. It was 85-90 degrees and no cart girl, although they did have have water coolers every few holes.
Leslie Park
I used to live in Ann Arbor but moved back to upstate NY after college but every time I go back to Ann Arbor I make sure to play Leslie Park. You can always count on the course being in tremendous shape. The course itself is pretty challenging and each hole has it's own uniqueness. You never play the same hole twice which is one of my biggest pet peeves when playing a golf course (playing holes back to back that pretty much the same hole you just played going in another direction). The intermediate rough is thick combined with heather throughout the course makes placement essential off the tee. The greens are tough but fair but like most courses make sure you stay below the hole. Ann Arbor and Michigan for that matter have some amazing golf courses but Leslie Park will always be one of my favorite courses..
Class of A2 Muni's
One of the best municipal courses around, very good design but with a few parallel holes. Couldn't play the back nine, however, due to rain. Even with the rain, holes ran true - greens faster than average.
The course was in great shape.
The fairways were cut nicely and the greens were rolling very nicely. There was only one green that was in bad shape other tham that the rest of the course was in awesome shape. I'll be playing this course again this year.
kkk
I would have submitted the survey but not when you require me to write a review - that's ridiculous.
One of the Best Values in Michigan Golf!!
Terrific golf course in very nice condition. Greens roll nice and are undulating meaning proper green reading is a must. Some open holes but many tree lined so driving the ball with accuracy is a premium. If you are looking for no nonsense pure golf then this is a must play in the Metro Area.
Good but there is better in A2
Leslie Park is much better than it's sister course Huron Hills, but in my view there are better choices in A2. LP has some nice views, interesting hilly terrain and with narrow fairways on some holes can be challenging. Greens are adequate but not great so your putting scores may suffer a little. Quite a few walkers on the course at times which can really slow things down, particularly at the height of summer. Staff are excellent, very friendly. Clearly the U of M course and Radrick Farms are the best in A2 but if you can't get on those I would recommend trying Stonebridge ahead of Leslie Park.
