fun
nice course , not busy in morning we played , but fun
Extremely poorly kept course.
The manager of the course is one of the most cantankerous manager I have ever met. The course is in terrible condition, especially the south side. Traps are a wreck, greens are far too high, rough is too higs, they don't seem to own weedwackers. They are putting money taken in on the course back into the course. We will not be going back.
Mr.
Sand bunkers drastically need work.
Greens are in good condition.
Fairways are in good condition.
Need help on Traps!
Why have sand traps if you don't plan on maintaining them? We played the diamond course. It also took a second push to start up our cart after each stop.
The course itself was in good shape and well maintained. We had a beautiful day for golf and the price was right so what's complain, right!
love playing the jewel
I bought 2 rounds on the diamond side thinking it's the side I haven't played yet,but it was the onyx side I never played oops..but since that side was slow the starter let us play that side anyway- I love the friendly service there.beautiful weather made for a great round.fairways are a bit bumpy but still great course.
Onyx
Do not play the onyx course, it is a swamp with greens. They have totally let that course go
The bunkers on the diamond course were not maintained. The greens aare super slow.
Nice track for the jack!
First time I played the Jewel and will definitely return. Tight fairways...well groomed and sloping greens...and great service on the course!! All this for very reasonable greens fees!!! We played from the blues, which made the course about 500 yds longer than the whites...and Andrea, our bartender was a peach...very friendly and took a genuine interest to connect...bravo! If your looking for a challenging course without the "snobby high and mighty" attitude...this is the place for you! Already excited for my next round in a few weeks!!!!!
Family Golf Day
A great course to start the year. My wife don't play much and needed to start the year with a good challenging course with her new clubs. Also the course is kid friendly, our 11 yr old son played with us and wants to again. I thank courses that allow kids to play cause that is their future busisness.
nice open course
Overall the course was in good shape. My only problem was with the sand traps. It is impossible to play out of them. Every trap on the course was like concrete. Not even a rake to be found. With the amount of people that play this course it seems like the owners could afford to put in new sand. The south course was even worse. There is grass and huge weeds growing out of the traps.
This course in great condition for this late in season
Great open long course. Excellent condition for fall in MI.
Much Improved
We played The Diamond course which used to be the old north.
A somewhat links style course, a few trees, with some blind tee shots and quick greens. Water comes in to play on many holes. Overall in good condition save bunkers. All hard pan.
some nice holes
I didn't care to much for the course, the greens were very slow and the rough was very high, I played the Onyx 18.
The is a good driving course
Nice course layout. Not a lot of trouble off the tees, but getting to the green makes up for that.
The Jewel - Diamond - North Course - fun to play - great greens
Played the Jewel's Diamond Course and had a great time. The greens are in great shape as well as the fairways. The rough is deep...but still playable...which is a good set up to give risk reward. The only knock would be the bunkers...not maintained as well as they should be. Looking forward to trying their Onyx course soon.
Pace of play extremely slow
I was delighted to find that this local course was now listed on golfnow. I had a problem booking the reservation on the web but finally after three attempts was successful. The first three holes took over 50 minutes to complete which forced me to only wind up playing 9 holes rather than the 18 I had planned. Its a shame that the rangers were not out on the course insisting on faster play.
Great Greens
The greens were excellent. They looked like carpet!
Greens were ok
Enjoyed the pace of play. Would play again 2nd choice. Not to crowded, enjoyed the experience
