Came, saw, played, and won't be back. I am sure back in the day this course was really nice, but it is in rough shape.
Absolutely Not
My tee time was set up at 10:20 am, and i showed up 5 min prior to my tee time; however, the parking lot was very disorganized with golf carts parked anywhere. Due to that, i ended up checking in at exactly 10:20 am at the pro shop. When I did, this guy who is supposed to the manager yelled at me for not being at the tee box on time. Never ever ever going back there and I do not recommend this golf course to anyone.
I have no words
Words cannot describe how bad these course conditions are. It’s like they don’t care
Meh
The course was challenging which I enjoyed but the course conditions were bad. Everything was dry and hard. Pace of play was so slow but that's not the courses fault when there's lots of people playing.
A Golf Nightmare
Where to begin? After taking over 10 minutes to pay, with no cash register being used and no course logo balls for sale, I proceeded to the bar area for waters. A very unfriendly lady acknowledged me, clearly frustrated even though there was only one group of four drinking at a table. After I placed my order I said “Thank you”, to which she replied, “Don’t thank me yet. You have seen the price!” I then asked if there was a beverage cart on the course, assuming there would be as the temperature was in the 80’s. I was surprised to learn there was not, and she again complained that she’s been trying to get out to the course but she was too busy alone inside. Upon approaching the first tee, I met the Marshall; this would not be the only time I saw him at nearly every hole as he was lurking behind trees, from the woods, behind brush, or from another fairway. I literally felt stalked throughout the round. The course conditions were horrendous! I hit numerous greens and the ball literally bounced like I hit a cart path and launched into the rough or out of bounds. Almost every single green was completely covered in goose droppings; the greens clearly hasn’t been watered or cleaned in a very long time. The fairways were beat up and hard. The course was so lacking in water that even the rough wasn’t growing. I am not sure if it was laziness, but the women’s and men’s tee boxes were within a few feet of each other the majority of the time; absolutely no advantage for when. The carts were old and beat up. My cart had a break that didn’t work so I had to strategically park my cart on every hole to keep it from rolling away. Do NOT play this course. I am confident it is preparing to go out of business and they are simply grabbing a few dollars for the road. This explains the empty parking lot as the locals are clearly already in the know.
Fine for the first 9
Got the hotdeal to get up early and play this course. First 9 holes went great with no problems. Then I go to make the turn and there are about 12 carts sitting on the 10th tee box. All older men playing their own ball. Another single caught up behind me and I asked if this was normal. He said they are notrious for being there every morning and holding up pace of play. I mentioned skipping over them but he said they have been known to be confrontational so having played only 9 I just called it quits for the day. Completely unacceptable that the jewel allows this to happen. This will be my last morning round there.
jewel diamond
good fun for a high handicapper greens a little slow but over all lots of fun
