Wow was I disappointed right from the get -go.

I have been playing golf for over 3 decades now.
I have played courses from Hanalei bay in Kauai to Cabo real in Cabo San Lucas. Not to mention numerous country clubs with friends all over Southern California including many in Palm Springs and surrounding cities out in the desert.
I feel like I have a pretty good sense of a golf course.
Let me begin that the rate for an online time through golf now days ahead still cost my playing partner and I $99 each.
For which my playing partner paid with a credit card and when he was done I handed the gentleman behind the counter a $100 bill and was informed me that he didn’t have a single dollar to give me as change. You would think a course that charges $99 for a greens fee per person would have stacks of single dollar bills as to not people have their first impression that the course has the foresight that they will need $1 bills. And a lot of them !!! They said we have free cookies here at check in. So I took 2 for me and 2 for my playing partner. Since I had already givien them an extra dollar already since they aren’t prepared for customers to pay cash. Btw it also seemed like this $1 shortage was a regular thing by the way the guys behind the desk made it sound.
Not a good first impression ( just saying)..
oh. So we asked about the range next and we’re informed that it was $10 for a bucket which had about 30-35 golf balls in it max!!!
We had already paid $199 between his CC and my $100 where I never received my dollar change. This really has nothing to do with the monetary or money now. It was all about class or the lack of class the club was showing.
Anywhere else I have been provides complimentary range balls at anywhere I go as long as you have paid about $75 or more per person.
Oh I almost forgot. I mentioned that I have never played there before looking for maybe a little bit of local knowledge about playing the course and all they could tell me was have your camera ready for pictures.
Ok so anyway we go to the range to hit a few golf balls before our round. The range is no where close to the 1st tee. It’s about 7-8 minutes before our tee time and head down near the clubhouse is where we noticed the first tee was located. We check with the starter and he says head on down to the first tee.
It is now exactly 4 minutes before our tee time and see the other 2 some that we were paired with to be put in the middle of the fairway already had teed off and hadn’t waited for us and obviously didn’t have any direction from the starter.
With all the technology and Pad the starter had in his hands he began to mention how it was the guys in the clubhouse that had screwed him up. So the starter has to go out and let the 2 some that’s in our group know we are meant to be playing together. What a fiasco and we haven’t even finished playing the 1 at hole yet. You can prolly see where I am going with all of this. Hence to say I’ll make a long story short.
This place is So disappointing from the rate the course is charging and how disorganized they are as a whole I would prolly only play this course for about $30-40 maximum.
Oh yeah. There is also no return to the clubhouse to grab anything that a golfer might want as a halfway point. Their halfway point is a trailer around hole 12. This reminds me that after that halfway point at home 12 or 13. Came upon a par 3. My shot came up a little short and was trying to hit my short approach from a little tricky lie with not much green to work with and had a foursome that had been playing in front of us that were on the next whole which made us only about 50 -69 yards from them. One guy just kept yelling and yelling and teeming for about 2 minutes. Finally when he stopped for a moment I asked if he was drone yelling and nearly caused a fist fight. He holered back something g about me that I was crying. Wow. What an absolute anti-gentleman.
I came out there to have a good time but hearing this from that guy which is ok riverside county which is kind of a rough area. I’ll be packing more than my god clubs with me in my golf bag if I ever play there again if you catch my drift So yeah. Waaaaaay over priced and what I though was nickel and diming for range balls and some bunkers that were like concrete with a lot of weeds in almost all of them. There were a handful of bunkers that were so-so but still not up to $99 a round standard. I’m fact not 1 bunker was up to the standards I believe come froma. Highly rated course. I would not come back here to golf. Only to take pictures from a few of the golf holes as it was scenic in a sense that not too many golf courses have been made out of quarries.
Overall disappointment and the best part of the whole afternoon was hanging with my good friend that met me at a mutual close distance as we both live about 75 miles away coming from opposite directions.
Won’t be playing this course anytime soon. Sorry. Over all a bummed experience.

Best Course in Riverside County!!

Let me start by saying the course is pristine condition.
Greens and fairways haven’t been this amazing in years. Oak Quarry has always been a great course but they have really put in a lot of time and money to getting the course in this amazing condition.
Please load up on drinks and food before your round since the halfway house doesn’t have any good food selection. And there’s no longer a cart girl anymore.
Pace of play was a bit slow.
Overall a great experience.

Great course with a couple of significant negatives affecting value

Great course that is currently overpriced because of apparently management issues: No water on course except one snack shack; Traps are in horrible shape; No beverage cart; Staff is great and course layout is fun.

Slow Play

In a word - slow. It was a Sunday afternoon so expected it to be slow but 5 and a half hour round is still too much for a relatively short course.

Great Course for a good price

Fun … that is the best word that describes Oak Quarry. Make sure you bring you own beverages as there were no beverage carts the day we played.

Favorite Course in So Cal - Perfect Day

It is always a treat when we can get the group out to Oak Quarry. The weather was perfect and the views are always amazing. We tee off at 1:52 and the starter was a little ahead.. bonus. The course was in great shape, the greens were rolling fast, but receptive. From tee to green, the course is very well maintained. They saw several friendly marshals thought the round and the pace of play was great. We never waited the entire round. We all can't wait to get back.

Mis managed chaos

Was told my tee time was pushed back 30 minutes, 100 some dollars at 3:00 and no starter 25 carts lined up on the first hole. It was a 4 and a half hours to get through twelve holes. Staff was unhelpful and rude. Don’t waste your money

Worst Course Ever

20 carts waiting on the first tee backed up over an hour from the actual tee times. No starter or employee to offer any help at all, no apology, no explanation. The worst course experience of my life and i beg you to never come here. If you don’t believe me take a look at my picture, that was taken at our tee time and we’re the last group in line. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE
