Waste!!

Do not waste your time on this mediocre course . Wayyy over priced for what you get. 1 signature hole that is nothing special . Save your money and play goose creek for 90dollars less . Or go down to trump and pay the same amount for a much better experience . How this course stays in business with those prices is beyond me . 120 dollar course at most . And that should be prime weekend time . Save your cash .

Anthony

The course was dry but greens were nice. Bar was closed to buy beer at 130pm. It would be an amazing course if it was watered.

Anthony at check.in was fantastic. Great young guy. The cart dude with the long hair was also great. Gets sarknearly so ask ahead if you will finish 18.

Beautiful and Horrible

Course obviously can be superior with the layout and scenery. But the course was in unbelievably bad condition. Tee boxes looked like they had been tilled, around greens was ridiculously bad, fairways super thin, dead and punched. Greens were good but tee to green was beyond bad. On top of that, absolutely no service. . No one at bag drop or after to wipe down clubs. Check in acted like he jadn't had coffee yet and made me feel like I was a bother. No direction offered even after I asked. For $200 it was a very bad experience.

Course is on the mend

Feels like a sharp drop off for a course once so highly regarded. The price does not reflect the course. Still a fun course with a nice staff but this course should not be priced $180+ per round

Overpriced and poorly maintained.

My buddy and I were stoked to play here, but were very disappointed. Course was in really bad shape. Tee boxes were mostly dead and some had little to no grass. Fairways were in playable condition but very dry. Some of the bunkers have been improved with nice sand but others were completely let go and hard as concrete. The aeration around the greens and approaches have a ton of the grass loose and dead. The green were in ok shape but appeared to not have been mowed or rolled in several days. For the price point this place doesn’t even come close to measuring up. Not likely to come back here unless the course co dirijan vastly improve. Beautiful layout and scenery. Tons of potential but really poorly maintained and managed.

Terrible pace, condition

I get that course was punched but it was not kept up and in bad shape. 2 threesomes combined to a 6 on the 5th , leaving 3 groups behind them wIting, only got to the 16th at 4.5 hours and it got dark. All 3 groups waiting called the pro shop multiple times no one ever showed up or cared.

Gone Way Down

I played this course about 5 years ago and was looking forward to playing it again. To call it a a goat track is an insult to all the goat tracks of the world. The tee boxes had almost no grass on any of them. The fairways were dead or dying due to no water and the area around every green had been torn up as if army tanks had been doing manuevers around them.

When I spoke to the people in the pro shop about the conditions and suggested they let people know how poor the course conditions were, they could not have cared less. This has always been a fun and challenging course to play but not anymore. Avoid this course if you can.

Absurdly Bad Course Condition

Me and my three golf buddies, all 10 to 14 handicappers, played this course after not having played it for about four years. The staff was marginally friendly, not particularly welcoming or helpful. The course was in the worst condition that any of us had seen in any course for a very long time. The tee boxes were all chewed up by some sort of a machine in what looks like a preparation for laying sod or planting grass. We were not forewarned about this.

The fairways had absolutely no grass in them from obvious complete lack of watering and were horribly torn up. We were hitting balls off of bare dirt, sometimes dry, sometimes soaked. The bunkers were basically hard concrete-like dirt. The areas around the green had been scraped or trampled down, and were totally dead. They were the worst fringe and green surrounds we had ever seen.

The greens were the highlight, if you can call it that, being fairly receptive and nowhere near as bad of shape as the tee boxes, fairways, traps and fringe areas. They were uneven and slow, but they were green and somewhat maintained. Again, we were not given notice of any of these conditions by the course staff, nor through the reservation system.

One of the bathrooms on the course was very dirty, and had no soap in it. There was no cart person. There was a snack shack, but no other water or drinks on the course whatsoever. The GPS system in our cart did not work, although it did work in our other two buddies’ cart.

Pace was painfully slow, and there was no Marshall to be seen. It was a 5 hour and 40 minute round for us. Excruciating.

In sum, this course was in a horrible condition by any measures whatsoever, pace of play was extremely slow, and when you consider the high price they charge, it is completely absurd. The course layout is the only saving grace, but there’s no saving the course due to the horrible conditions. Stay away until they do something to greatly improve the maintenance of the course. It’s sad, but that’s the way it is.

Off season conditions with some chipped fairways, other than that this course was amazing. Greens were immaculate and this course is a must play. Thank you!

Dissappointing

The course layout was the one positive aspect of this facility. The geography was incredible and there were some excellent high risk, high reward holes to get creative with. Other than that, this could be the worst experience I've ever had on a golf course, let alone one at this price point.

The day started in the club house, which must have been experiencing some kind of plumbing issue because the stench was overpowering. While trying to get out of there as quickly as possible, we were informed that the driving range was closed, so no warm-ups today.

I tried to get some chipping practice in on the 10 foot by 25 foot postage stamp of chewed up afterthought. On to the putting green, which had holes cut into it in a grid pattern every 4 to 5 feet. It was challenging to find an open space with no other people or holes that would allow for a practice putt over 5 feet or so.

We had 5 people in our group, the worst number to be planning a day of golf around, so we had booked a 2-some and a 3-some. They had put someone in between our groups, which meant they were expecting people to tee off every 6-7 minutes. Fortunately, the group between us was willing to swap times, so our groups were back to back. Cut to the 3rd hole, everyone's stacked up 2-3 groups deep on the tee boxes. I guess the other shining spot on the day is that it was so slow, we were able to play as a 5-some and still end up waiting on the tee boxes every time.

The conditions on the course were horrendous. The areas around the green were so completely chewed up it felt like a construction site. I can't even exaggerate how bad it was. Go outside and start turning over sod with a spade shovel, then pay $160 to chip off of that. I understand that courses need maintenance from time to time, but the rate should reflect the conditions.

I could go on (no beverage cart, no water on the course, GPS on the carts woudn't work, no signs on the tee boxes, etc.), but I think this is long enough. I've never given a bad review of a course, but I couldn't keep quite about this one. We were stoked to play here, and it was a huge dissappointment.

below average

course conditions were under par... The fairways were yellowish/green at best. first cut around the green must have been plugged recently which made for difficult chips. Would have not played the course at that price in those conditions. Not worth the hour drive...

Too much exposed ground. Not enough turf. Disappointed they didn’t accept the credit card that held the tee time.

Dying of thirst

The track is great and a beautiful course. My low review is based solely on the issue of no cart service and the snack shack on the 11th was closed. This course doesn’t circle you back to the clubhouse after the front 9 where we can re-fuel. There was no water stations anywhere in the course to hydrate This made the round difficult and our foursome was out of energy and we all ran out of steam and played horribly. This location gets quite hot in the afternoon and not having food or drink at any point of the round is unacceptable.
