Need Marshalls on Course
Pace of play way too slow! on course Marshals would help this problem
Great Track
Great course friendly staff and just a great place to play..
One of the best in the Kalamazoo area
Beautifully maintained and challenging. Definitely recommend playing a round. Only thing that would’ve made it better is if they had GPS on their carts like Gull View East.
Stonehenge North GC
Course was in fabulous shape. Really a nice layout of a course. Very playable for most any skill golfer. We were a 2-some, and pace of play was great. Finished in under 4 hrs on. Sunday afternoon. Greens were in very good shape. Would’ve like to have seen the beverage cart more than twice during the round. Although cart lady was extremely nice.
Most definitely will play this course again and again. 4.6 stars.
Good conditions
Not a lot of trees or water. Pretty holes with fun pin placements
The North Couse
Always enjoy playing this layout. Open fairways but challenging greens if the pins are in the tough positions. Very good value for the $. Greens are very consistent and the course is always kept in good to great condition. Recommend all the Gull Lake View Courses.
Pay attention to ALL details, not just the course
Always enjoy the course. This time, however, there were problems with the restrooms that were obvious and had not been addressed. Not good!
Very forgiving, course management is key
Great place to play! A feel good course for the mid to low handicapper. A lot of leaves right now but that's to be expected, greens were in good shape I think the rollers are not out because of the leaves so a little bounce here and there, this is always a fun play!
The temps were a little warmer than the Lakeshore, so I played here. Just another fine example of the great course selection we have in Michigan
My Favorite of the Gull Lake Courses
Gull Lake has plenty of courses and I'd recommend playing all of them if you have time, but if you only have time for one or two, go with Stonehedge North! Of the Gull Lake courses in the Kalamazoo area, Stoatin Brae is probably the nicest and has the best views, but Stonehedge North is the most fun.
It is a 6-6-6 layout with plenty of birdie opportunities. It has a very up north feel to it with a lot undulation in the wide fairways and large greens. There are also some unique holes like the par 4 7th, par 3 11th, and par 5 14th.
Even in late October, the course was in great shape. You could see the greens had been aeriated, but they still were receptive and rolled pretty true. The fairways were still very green and weren't really long and slow.
Overall, it is a really fun course with a mix of challenge and scoring opportunities. It is typically a bit cheaper than Stoatin Bare, so I'd recommend it!
The waiting game!
First time I’ve ever been at a course and had 5 people waiting behind me to tee off. Marshal came out did nothing to speed up there lay at all. At least two people behind us just ended up leaving so we really would have had 7 groups behind us waiting unbelievable. Very nice course but it seems like anytime I go to one of the gull lake courses I’m waiting decades to hit. I’ll be staying away from gull lake for awhile
