Great course
Great course very well maintained for the beginning of the season. Would recommend to anyone.
Challenging Layout in Great Condition
I felt like I was up north with the large elevation changes and tree lined fairways. The course was in excellent condition and I got a great deal on Golf Now.
100 year old track carved out of hardwoods and hilly terrain
First time playing course, overall grooming of course was very nice. A little more sand in the bunkers and if they were not so hard would have made the course even better,
All greens rolled very nicely and speed was perfect for amount of slope on greens.
If you are not used to playing hilly courses then you will find this course very challenging, especially if you stray from the fairways. There are several blind shots on course but they do have adequate bells in proper places to alert fellow golfers when you have cleared the area,
Not overly tight but you need to find the fairways to score, most greens are pushed up but they will accept well hit shots.
The folks in club house couldn’t have been friendlier, they also provided helpful hints on how to play this fun, well maintained course,
Overall a very pleasant day.
Diabolical greens, hilly 100 year old beautiful girl, love it ( Ciscokid)
Had a huge discount book from maple hill with $22 round w cart so my 2 buddies joined the wife and I. ( about half price) This ONE HUNDRED AND TWO year old course(1921) was a hoot and had a ton of character and hills. Although not long the greens were sloped fiercely and on the smaller side and the toughest part of this course. We had an enjoyable round and as others have said several blind shots, knowing the course would help.
Some of the fairways were super bumpy( especially the 10th which we played first) course in good shape and lots of character. Drove 60 miles to play each way and would come back but not at $45-48 bucks. Can’t believe such a hilly course exists in this town, can’t imagine how tough a walk was on this old gem.
First time out after stay at home
great to get out again after stay at home orders lifted....course in great condition!
Great time had by all
We had a foursome play today.. tricky few holes but, very nice shape and conditions.. greens are fast but true.
Highly recommend you give it a try.
It's not a CC
I can see why this didn't make it as a private club, while the course is in decent condition the layout is a little quirky. I played from the blues and still it was just over 6000 yds (though the 200+ yard par 3 8th is a challenge). The 5's seemed on the short side and some of the 4's I was teeing off with a 5 iron or 5 wood. Several holes have blind tee shots so course knowledge would help. Greens were just cut aerated within the last week but were still very fast and level. Not a walking course...
High Quality Steal of a Deal
This is a great golf course with excellent challenges and in fantastic condition. Holes are unique in layout and are well separated, greens are in fantastic condition and are very challenging!
Know where to miss
As most other reviews mention, the greens are great here. Be careful on approach shots, you definitely want up hill puts.
Nice course!
Nice mix of wide open holes and narrow holes. Can be challenging and overall a fun course and great value.
Good Value, but not the greatest
We got a great rate on GolfNow, but we encountered a few problems. First there were not adequate signage to direct us to the course itself let alone where to go to pay for the round. Then, we waited in the clubhouse for 10 minutes before anyone even helped us. Were told to play our 9 on the back but there were 2 groups teeing off ahead of us. That is when we could find hole 10 because it is not close and there were no signs directing us to the correct location. The course was fine just need some better signage and better employees.
18 @ Hastings CC
We had a good day, got caught behind a league on the way to the back nine and play became very slow
Hidden GEM
IN an local with many excellent golf courses, this is a hidden. Be sure to put this one on the top of your list of courses to play!
