Blue at Winding Creek Golf Course

As is often my experience at W.C., pace of play was abysmal. My playing partner left after 9, and as I made the turn, a pair (husband & wife) had just been sent off on #10 (Blue) even though they were clearly not ahead of us on the front (White). Fortunately, they allowed me to play through. I was not as fortunate when I got to #13.. I could see a couple on #15 tee when I hit my approach on 13. They were still waiting to hit their approach on #15 as I stood on 15 tee. It took almost an hour to play from their on in. I understand that, there are all different skill level players on a golf course. A ranger telling people to either hurry up, or wave faster players up would help a ton at your facility, IMO.

From the very start the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The course has 27 holes but cart paths lead you around very nicely and tee markers identify the hole and the course, Gold, White or Blue.
A creek winds it's way through the course adding interest but also some challenge at times. Greens were receptive, fairly fast but putted pretty true. I certainly will try to get back for another go at it.

Good course. 27 holes and interesting layout with one of the nines a par 34. Well maintained and an overall nice experience.

Great course for house much you pay. 3-9 hole courses provide plenty of variety with different difficulties. Course was a little wet in certain places from a heavy rain. Sand was in nice condition and fairways were cut. Allowed me to play through slower league groups. Very friendly staff.

When it rains, RUN. This course does NOT drain. It takes 2-3 days after a decent rain before there are not PUDDLES on fairways. The rate of play is all about how they let people off. I have played here several times due to great price of GolfNow, and every time they send EVERYONE off of one, even though they have 27 holes. The community who goes in the afternoon during most of the GolfNow hot deals, are all walkers and rarely speak english. They dont let you play through. As far as challenge goes, some very fun holes, and some very scoreable holes. If it is dry, pretty forgiving, if it is a little wet, you wont find your ball if you go anywhere off the fairway as it turns into swamps on either side. If you have a nice sunny day, and the afternoon off, snag a golfnow deal. It is a good value course. Nothing more.

Greens were not the best. They just got done working on them should charge lower rate until greens are better shape

Some short par fours. Great for seniors, bunkers suck sand is always packed.

Very pretty golf course in excellent condition. fun and challenging holes with long rough and great fairways.

Played this course after previous day rain. Extremely wet fairways with large areas were water collected. Does not have very good drainage system if any. Not recommend playing after rain.

Has 27 holes. Gold 9 is short with doglegs. White and Blue have some tight holes. Some carries over water. Need to be straight off the tee on most holes.

I always seem to play well when fairways are cutter a little longer and that was the case here. Fairways were cut and tidy don't get me wrong but they weren't cut like a sidewalk where you always had a tight lie.

Pretty good layout with some different doglegs but very playable all the way around on our 9 hole stretch.

A typical muni course, that has 3 nines. Pretty crowded for a Sunday afternoon, a lot of high school and college kids. Course had been rained upon and was pretty wet. Nice greens, would play again.

Even though it rained the night before we played at 8:50, the course was very well drained and the greens were dry. Very good course we pretty difficult cups. None of the greens were flat which makes for a very challenging round!!!!!

Add distance STAKES!!!! Hard to judge distance to flag

We found the course in great shape. We played 18 holes as a four some in 3 hours and 45 minutes and we were held up on the front nine. (white) Staf was very frindly and professional

I was pleased with the conditions, the pace of play, and the overall challenge of this course. It is located less than 15 minutes from my home and offers all that is needed in a well maintained golf club. They have a very well planned practice facility across the street with range, chipping, putting, and bunkers to work on your skills before or after the round. I also spoke with the pro, Jeff, and he was very polite and considerate so I may be requesting some private lessons for my son in the near future.

Well maintained course. I didn't like how they jam packed the course with people when the have 27 holes.

I have played this course 5-6 times in the past year. Nice place and well taken care of. Not super long but challenging. Watch out for the "Winding Creek" it will take some balls out of your bag. Greens were excellent to hit into and smooth to putt on.
