Poor Customer Service
Rude customer service, not sure if they fully understand how golf works. Extremely unprofessional. There are better courses in the area. Tried to give them another chance but didn't even make it onto the course due to poor management.
Great greens, plays long into the wind
This is a great course that's fun to play.
My wife and I have played Heather Highlands every year since 1985 and have NEVER had a bad experience there. It's our favorite course.
The staff is professional and friendly. Ralph is the greens superintendent (for 35 years) and we see him everytime we are playing - either spraying, mowing or just picking up loose debris. The course features huge, fast greens and some long difficult holes (like #9 and #15).
It is incredible that a great place can get slammed by a few people unfairly. These people are merely doing their jobs and are trying to accomodate everyone. These are good people working hard everyday. I highly recommend this course.
The course played fairly easy from the White tees
Enjoyed the course. Some pretty holes. Both greens and fairways in good shape. Cart paths and and some other off course areas need improvement.
Beautiful course
I love this course. I don't play often, nor am I even good. Love going there because everyone is very professional. The pace of play is great. The greens are big and very nice. They do a fantastic job keeping up on the course. This is a must play for me every year. I love their driving range. I hit that up multiple times a year. Very reasonably priced.
Huge greens
Greens are beautiful. Fairways are bad! Tee boxes are not real good also. Such a great deal using golf now, would not play for full price.
Great bang for the buck
The greens were excellent ,the price was grate ; go and enjoy.
Average MI course
This course is very convenient to most being just off of I-75 and is worth the drive especially if you have a discounted green fee. The playing areas (?Tees, fairways and greens) have been cared for and are in good condition. The bunkers needed attention on the day I played but were marked "ground under repair" where appropriate. While Heather Highlands would never be mistaken for an "up-scale" facility it is certainly not a waste of time or money.
Very nice staff
Debbie the manager and all the staff are very nice. Nice golf course to play. I Will play there again.
nice features
couple long par 4's. good par 3's. rough was out of control on couple holes. for a good price its worth playing.
Needs tender loving care.
Greens and fairways are excellent. Roughs need mowing, couldn't find balls in the rough. Flowers and shrubs unattended.
A Classic Course with Great Greens
We played Sunday and were pleased with the friendly staff and their willingness to please. We have played Heather Highlands for several years and have always found it to be in great shape. There were several families as kids get to play free on Sundays and the range was busy. Overall, it was a great day and we will definitely be back soon.
So so condition
Course has gone downhill. Haven't played it in a couple years, but it's getting run down! Lost alot of trees from storms this winter. Very few people were playing yesterday, so we played very fast.
Heather Highlands
Weather was chilly and windy making the course more challenging. A lot of rainfall caused soggy conditions. Because of weather, greens were long and slow. Pace of play was good due to low turnout of golfers. I would play this course again and hopefully the weather will cooperate.
Spring Golf
It was great to get out early in the year on a course like HH. Very enjoyable, no stuffy attitudes and everyone had a great time.
Great course, great value
We had a great experience at Heather Highlands; the pace of play was great, and the course was in good condition, especially this late in the season. And, as always, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Great Day
The course was in great shape and the greens were excellent. We played very slow and had a great time. The slow play was because of us and we let a few groups play through. Heather Highlands is a forgiving course.
Nice Greens
Everything about the course is nice. The highest rated part f the course are the greens, generous size and moderately fast.
Great bargain
The course was in good condition and has shown improvement from the last time I played it last year; the price is excellent and the food comes at a great bargain price.
the course was not in shape at all
We were teeing of of grass! terrible and i felt i would not have paid even the discount price at all! very upset!

One of the problems that we, and other golf courses, have to cope with are individuals that book a preferred rate reservation for a 4some (intentionally) but arrive with only 2 . Or they join two groups together on the course and play an 8some - slowing down play for others. Others object when we instruct them that it is against Michigan law to bring your own beer to a licensed facility. The one common theme is they unfairly retaliate by posting a 1 star review because they are asked to simply obey the law. Please feel free to return and explain your situation to our staff (many of which have been with us for over 30 years - which, by itself, proves they fully "understand how golf works". . Thanks HHGC
P.S. We were the highest rated golf course in Michigan on this site this year. # 4 Nationally - We thank Golf Advisor for that honor.
