If you need to get 18 in, under 4 hours
This is, by no means, anything fancy. What it is, however, is a decent course for the money, and it's never crowded or overbooked. There is no distinguishing turf difference between fairway and rough, they're even almost the same length. The greens are always in good condition, and honestly, for the buck, it's hard to find a better deal. I'll keep playing here on occasion, it has some fun holes.
Don't waste the time or money
The only positives to this course are the greens, their a decent speed and well kept. Value is absurdly high compared to the shape, challenge and experience of this course. Spend a little more money and play Thornapple Creek, Heritage Glen, or the Moors if an option. Not worth time or money unless it's playing in the Annual Big Hole Tourneys in summer and fall.
Surprise!
Expecting a average or worse course. Surprised by the condition and quality. very playable for the beginner and challenging enough to be a very pleasant round. Will play again!
Always a nice experience.
We play here often and always have a nice time. We were rained out after 15 holes and joined others in the clubhouse while watching golf ball size hail!
meh
I would never pay full price to play this course. The older guy running the place is a jerk to younger people (myself). The food isn't that great. The facility has not been upgraded in forever. The course is in okay condition. 2 groups let me play through then I followed a couple for the final 7 holes without them letting me play through. People playing this course obviously don't know golf etiquette. Good beginner course and hack course. Needs major upgrading and new management.
crestview
Decent course. Well taken care of. Sand traps need replacing. Seem to be made with gravel.
good time
course was in good shape, carts peppy and the staff went out of their way to make this a great day of golfing. can't say enough good about the staff
Price is right
The course was decent, however there's no signature hole. Can't get into any trouble as the course is very wide open. You can hit a bad shot and still recover. At first they have a single walker which was very slow. You have to wait for each shot. I end up practice chipping and putting between holes. After the single left, I was able to play the rest of the holes with ease.
Not happy:(
The grass clipping made it vary hard to find our ball the whole time. The older lady that was running the place was not friendly and we found out we paid a $1.50 more than the courses prices. The pace was terrible. Over bad course mgmt.
Easy course and well worth the money
Look, Crestview is probably one of the easiest courses in Kalamazoo. That being said, it was a great deal at $21 a person, they weren't busy, the staff was as easy going as they come. We asked which 9 should we start on, they said take your pick which ever you want to start on is cool. I've been there a few times and will keep going back.
Morning golf is great
Very relaxing enjoyable time. No slow play. And the temp was perfect. 70-76
Nice course for the price...
Got on easily. Place of play was great. Course was in good shape, and greens were decent as well.
Course is nice, but the bugs are not!
I was impressed with the condition of the course itself when we played on a Saturday afternoon. We did get stuck behind an extremely slow group that would not let us play through for a little while, but once we got by them it was smooth sailing. The only negative, and probably a bigger one, is the amount of mosquitoes that were on the course! They were everywhere on the course, even not in the woods. Great course, but bring bug spray!
